What percentage do you think either has/had a chance of happening, or that they seriously considered moving??
I would say CNS to Texas had a serious thought of going to Texas @ 15%......Gregg Marshall to Alabama 35%

I don't think Saban ever gave them a second thought after Sexton told him of their intentions.

I don't think he ever considered it once the boosters made it clear Texas would have to pay crazy $$$ to match us. He was paid in other ways than contract money. Not to mention he'd already built the strongest possible program he could here.

Felt like less than that to me. I thought it was just Sexton doing his thing.

I honestly have no idea on this. All of the insiders seem to feel to good about this happening atm.

My point being that Texas officials contacted Sexton, and he then let Saban know they wanted him. I think that was it. Saban isn't going anywhere but Lake Burton after his time in Tuscaloosa.

I think when Battle meets with Marshall, he should have a good idea how serious he is about the Alabama job during the interview alone. If Battle has an inkling of doubt in his mind, he needs to just go ahead, move on, and hire our plan B..... Phil Jackson.

If Saban was 3-4 years younger when the 10 year 10 mil was offered, maybe.

Texas coming into play has obviously changed things...we will see...

I am not one of those "I got inside information" types. There is a lot of scuttlebutt here on Campus that it is going to be Marshall announced within 48-hrs at 4.2 Mil....I so want to believe but I am hesitant.

I think some people in here are going to spontaneously combust if they have to wait anything close to another 48 hours.

I want to know why Texas isn't going after Marshall. Seems like that was a gift to us.
The explanation I saw was that he is too blunt and forward when he talks and that is offputting to some people. That's crazy though because that's exactly how Saban is and they supposedly wanted him for football. Their explanation makes no sense.

Some people do not realize how full those dump trucks can get if the boosters are serious about a hire.

Texas is the program where the fans will always let you know they can buy anything and everything they want.
And then they never do.

Apparently Texas thinks they can take anything they want, but they never do. Frik Them.
