Is Tennessee on the rise? Maybe, but they have yet to beat a solid opponent in football. Their wins last year weren't impressive. The rankings uptick has ore to do with recruiting 80 players the last 2 year's. Their rankings are still fresh and haven't had to prove it on the field yet.

The athletic department is poor to a level that makes sunbelt teamms laugh. I love the enthusiasm but damn, pump the brakes

Nope, I agree with your statement

That's not how recruiting rankings work, genius

I was obviously exaggerating. You guys have over signed by a ton the last 2 year's, of course espn would be in love with your ranking, it's their recruiting rankings. That's my point. Beat somebody not named Kentucky or Vanderbilt, and I'll agree with you

South Carolina, Iowa? I know those aren't the best examples, but given the way Dooley left this program with virtually NOTHING, Jones has exceeded expectations so far.

Btw, we didn't rank quite as high in the ESPN rankings the past 2 seasons.

Hey we are in the same boat. I'm not trying to bash your team at all, just saying talks of winning the division are premature. Jones hasn't shown anything yet

I don't think it's unrealistic to say Tennessee has a chance to win the division this season, given the state of the east. Winning the SECCG is unrealistic in 2015 tho.

UT definitely has a shot in the East. Georgia seems like the clear frontrunner, and then it's just a matter of which other team can keep their shite together long enough to stay in the division race.

The last thing the Vols should do right now is make yet another coaching change. Then it's another few years of rebuild mode. The next few seasons should provide ample evidence of Butch's ability to coach or not.
