UT has a Florida man running the school and an Alabama man in charge of athletics.

THAT needs to happen. If Fulmer is interested in being an AD, he'd be fantastic at it. He's already done a lot in that area helping ETSU.

At this point Fulmer would be 100x the AD that Roll Tide Delusional Dave is.

I think Fulmer would be surprisingly good as UT's athletic director. Clean house in the AD and surround him with a good crew and let's roll.
Fulmer has the clout and the backing to tell Cheek to frick himself when he tries to intervene in AD matters. The bull dykes that are up in arms over the Lady Vols branding wouldn't dare step on Fulmer's toes. He would make sure that the football program would always be the #1 priority.
He also has a great relationship with Butch so that's a plus.

And I think the biggest thing is that he's a lifelong Tennessee guy who understands the culture he would need to cultivate. Additionally, everyone in TN loves Phil, and would rally around him 100%. Of course, UT would never hire him, because UT

I'm always stunned that UT's AD keeps his job. There isn't a worse AD in the country. A true embarrassment to an otherwise proud history.
