Here's a list of semi-realistic candidates if that beautiful Jewish bastard that loves to grill doesn't come home to roost.

Will Wade - Chattanooga

Brad Underwood - SF Austin

Rick Byrd - Belmont

Bobby Hurley - Buffalo (pipedream maybe)

Jon Gruden - Monday Night Football

Michael White - LA Tech

Steve Prohm - Murray St

Archie Miller - Dayton

Buzz Williams - Va Tech

Feel free to add other suggestions

Even if we did, Dollar Store Dave's track record says he doesn't like to throw big money around.

Gregg Marshall is the happiest man alive this morning knowing the bidding war that could ensue.

Serious question, why doesn't Larry Krystkowiak come up in any coaching search threads?

Dude inherited shite and has them in the sweet sixteen in year 4. I wanted State to make a run at him before Howland appeared out of nowhere, seems like a home run.

Simple Answer, Utah is a better job, plus rednecks dont like people who's last name they cant pronounce

I agree with you in that he is a really good coach. I think he gets overlooked just because most of time coaches in power conferences don't leave for jobs in other power conferences unless its a Kentucky, Kansas, UNC, etc you're talking about. Utah is a decent job I wouldn't think he would be too interested in Tennessee, but you never know.

Really? I have never considered Utah a powerhouse. He is wrapping up year one of a 5-year 7 million contract. So only 1.4 a year, and that's all they gave after him proving he was the real deal in his first 3 years.

Having 4 years on the contract probably answers my initial question though.

Actually, Utah has history and been to several Final 4s. With them in the Pac 12, it is a sweet gig.

Fair enough. I think the SEC is a good place to be landing right now though. Influx of money and focus on basketball with the SECN. Already the biggest conference for football/baseball, it's obvious we are about to really push basketball.

And as of next year, you have Calipari, Donovan, Howland, Anderson, Pearl, plus whoever Bama and UT hire, all in the same conference. It's a hot trend and I think coaches are wanting to jump on.
