Well, when I'm about to sell a Mutual fund, I first ask if they like to take it up the arse.

If they do, I either refuse their business or sell them a Pacific Life fund

This has to be the most ill conceived law anywhere in the U.S.A. Couple this law with the freedom to practice any religion you want and voila, you are black/white/purple and can't shop here. Race card whatever blah blah blah...
Show me a KKK member that isn't a bible thumpin protestant. Religion + law = discrimination in this instance. This law has no chance of surviving at the federal level.

That's entirely false. We just had a discussion on this very board ( I think ) about a bill in Cali to execute gays for being gay.

There's a bunch of freedom haters in this 'Murica. Why they hate freedom is an answer I don't think I will ever find.

I don't see how that's so. You are allowed to pick and choose who enters your home, so why not your business? Regardless, you're either of the school that treats a business as private property, or the one that views it as an entity that should be controlled by the government.

If people wish to advertise their ignorance as if it's a badge of honor, so be it, I'd rather take my business elsewhere anyway.

Just a hypothetical. Say a gay couple is injured by a vehicle and they are brought to a private hospital. If the doctor is whatever religion, he can decide that he will not treat the couple and they die from wounds. Now, I know doctors have an oath or whatever, but it isn't legally binding (so far as I know in a private practice). Is this ok?

No. And the law as written wouldn't allow it.

The Congress doesn't see any limit to the commerce clause. So that's unimpressive.

So let's say I'm a baker, and a gay couple wants me to bake a cake in the shape of penis going into a butt, you're telling me that I have to bake the cake?

Huh? I was addressing how it has been well established that a private business can't discriminate simply because people think "herp derp private business means they can do anything herp derp". Did anyone here go to college? Seriously. I was an engineer and I still took a 200 level business law class. I get that y'all's education is quite poor compared to Texas A&M, but this shite is basic. It is not beyond y'all.

Only if you are openly competing in the penis cake market. If you had made a custom cake for a bachelorette parties in the past and clearly proved you make penis cakes, then refused to sell it to a gay man, then yes of course. That's discrimination.

And I know being gay doesn't fall under the Civil Rights Act, but I bet it soon will. Gays will be a protected class sooner or later, and they are in certain states in certain scenarios.

There is nothing in that statement that says I have to say why, I can refuse just because. If more people would just stfu this world would be much easier to deal with.

So if a baker previously baked cakes for straight weddings, they have to bake cakes for gay weddings?

Gay weddings =/= Straight weddings, no matter how much you want them to.
