I believe I said in an early post that he couldn't read well.

He has now confirmed my assumption.

My apologies. Was doing it from my phone and on the google page it had Nov. 29, 2013. I'm at a computer now which makes this easier.

Andrew was a late lottery at best with Aaron nowhere in the picture. I might not be good at reading, but you dumb fricks suck at basketball.

I think the big picture is if Howland can land a big fish like Malik with a shitty team now what will he be able to do as far as recruiting goes once he fields a decent team. SEC, for all intents and purposes, is fricked.

So the only mock you posted when they were actually in high school (or in the middle of high school and college) has one of them in there. I can also post some with them in there as well, so once again, nobody was wrong in saying twins were being projected as lottery picks from high school. I also saw a ton with Aaron listed somewhere in the 1st round. No idea why you and the UK fan thought that was so outrageous that you even posted one yourself with one of them in the lottery.

At any rate, from the beginning, the whole point surrounding that was mock drafts with high school kids in it mean absolutely nothing. That was the main point. Its way too far out in advance of any meaning.

I thoroughly enjoyed making you look foolish. Thanks for not responding.

He's an idiot. I distinctly remember all the chatter about the Harrison twins being lottery picks. It was all over message boards and there were a multitude of scouts who even said so. Hell, I remember seeing it on frickin ESPN. There are literally dozens of quotes and articles on this if you just google it.

Again, dude is an idiot.

I posted 3 mock drafts before or a month into their freshman season, and only one of them have Andrew as a lottery pick in the 2014 draft. I'm sure plenty of people may have thought they would be lottery picks after a few years of development, but obviously not very many people thought they would be one and done lottery picks. If you can find a mock draft with both of them being selected in the 2014 lottery please do so. Otherwise, you're just spewing off bull shite.

LINK

Aaron very close at 19 and that the very first result on Google.

Sorry you cant accept the fact folks were projecting these guys very high out of high school, clearly many people were, and there was an article already posted where those very folks themselves admitted to putting them too high. Why is this so hard for you to accept?

I linked a damn CBS sports article from a renowned sports journalist. I also personally remember reading, watching and listening to a multitude of sports anchors and journalists. They were thought by MANY to be lottery picks. This is common knowledge.

Good for them for figuring it out. The system almost failed them, as it failed so many others who came before them, high school kids who were told they were ready for the NBA Draft and who believed it. Chad Ford, bless his heart, had the gumption to tell Kyle Tucker of the Louisville Courier-Journal that Andrew Harrison, the point guard, "saw his draft stock fall from a top-10 pick into the second round" without explaining that the failure wasn't Andrew Harrison's. He didn't show up at Kentucky, surround himself with the best coaching, teammates and competition of his life, and somehow get worse.

2014 article. Same one from earlier. The guy cites multiple scouts and journalists who are well known by anyone who keeps up with cbb. MSUbulldog is just flat wrong.

But Jason McIntyre is just a bum working for USA Today and running his own Radio show for YahooSports? You are paraphrasing an article that is obviously wrote using 20/20 hind site. I listed an actual mock draft from a respected journalist the summer before their freshman year.

Why are you still arguing this? We've posted more than enough info where the twins were seen by many as mid-high 1st round picks out of high school. We could post even more if it were the summer of 2013 where most of these werent updated right before the draft. I dont understand why you are so adamant nobody could have predicted that. This is commonplace crap for mock drafts to do this with the top high school prospects. They do this every friggin year with the top handful of guys in recruiting. Some are right, some are way wrong.

k, so now we go from lottery to mid-high draft picks. Pick something and stick with it. Don't change your argument when someone brings in facts and proves you wrong.

Good lord this has devolved into something retarded at this point.

Sorry we cant dig up 10 links from 2 years ago instead of 3 since most people changed their mock drafts since then. If the several we posted including scouts readily admitting they vastly overrated them out of high school calling them lottery picks on top of several posters in this thread all remembering the hype and picks surrounding the twins out of high school then by all means toss it all aside and pretend it never happened. Doesnt matter to me or anyone who lived through that reality.

The fact is the whole POINT was mock drafts for high schoolers is a completely stupid source to use as they are routinely wrong on MANY players. Nobody for sure knows where a lot of top high school kids will be at a year from now, end of story. People shot their wad on Aaron Gordon after his McD's performance calling him the #1 overall pick for 2014 then 3 freshmen ended up getting drafted in front of him.

Back to Malik Newman news. Courtney Cronin (who is without a doubt the closest person to the Newman recruitment.) was interviewed by CatsPause.com in a 247 bolt. She pretty much outlined it as a Kentucky/MSU battle. However, this guy is a crap shoot. Could go to Jackson State for all we know.

This is absolutely one of the worst threads in the history of TigerDroppings.

How does that make you all feel?

It was an awful interview, she clearly knows jack shite.

Hell the very first thing she said was he has kept everything very close to himself and nobody knows (including her) what he will do.

Then she goes on to say LSU "was" in it because of McCray - last I checked we were still very much in it long after McCray left as Newman constantly talks to our signees and JOB III. Not to mention said himself we're one of his favorites.

She had pretty much no clue what she was talking about.
