Tyndall will be getting the axe soon. FL98 insider seems somewhat confident that's going to happen, at least.

The NCAA will be informing UT of what exactly is in the letter of allegations tomorrow. The AD has supposedly told Tyndall they will stick with him unless he gets a show cause but some on Tyndall's staff think it's likely Hart/Big Jim will not back that up. Some even think that he will be fired tomorrow.

Should be an interesting day for sure.

Here are the exact posts

Rob Gray is coming in on a visit tomorrow, which I know is huge and thrilling news to everyone. The NCAA is supposed to call tomorrow to tell UT what will be in the letter of allegations. The AD's stance is that they will stick with Donnie for anything less than a show cause and big boosters reinforced that to the coaches. Everyone is nervous about what could be in the letter and what could have been found. Some feel DT won't make it and may be fired as soon as tomorrow, but this isn't the first time they've felt this way so it could be an overreaction.

The general feeling is that tomorrow is D Day. Probably safe to say the AD side is more optimistic and the coaching side is more pessimistic.

I know they have been telling him that they will stick with him anything short of a show cause, but I also know some on the staff are more than a little nervous that they will go back on that.

Either way it should be a very interesting day tomorrow.

If he's gone, better to get it over with.

frick Dave Hart, can't wait till he meets Eric Berry coming over the middle.

Agreed. They need to get this shite resolved one way or another.

I still chuckle when I think of how Hubbs & Co kept mentioning how "toxic" Ben Howland was during the last search and how Tennessee wouldn't even consider him. Then this black cloud follows Tyndall to Knoxville. Do your fricking research before you hire a coach, Alabama Dave.

Hope he can stick around. I think he can win if he's given a clean bill of health, so to speak.

If we have to fire him it won't be the end of the world though as long as we do it in the next week or two.

Keeping him now and then having to fire him later in the spring or summer would be the worst case scenario.

I'm with you on the coaching part and I was admittedly very wrong about Tyndall's abilities. I figured he was just some goofy frick Hart found while dumpster diving but I don't follow CBB like you or Prof do. He definitely had this undermanned team playing some motivated and scrappy ball.

It still pisses me off that a program like Tennessee hired a guy from a lower tier school bringing a shitload of baggage with him when they wouldn't even look at Pearl or Howland.

Just blows my mind that something like this somehow got by the UTAD.....actually, it shouldn't have surprised me

Feel for y'all man. We went through it with Haith and his garbage from Miami. We got screwed for nothing that we did wrong. Stressful time for fans. We still fume over our AD not doing his homework on Haith.

I really think Tyndall is a good coach. I hope nothing comes of this and he gets things rolling in no time.

If Tyndall gets fired, I don't see how Hart keeps his job.

But with the way Tennessee is currently being run, Hart will probably get a raise.

Hart made a huge deal about NCAA compliance when they hired Butch. Butch had a few secondaries while at Cincinnati. Then he hires Tyndall. Tindall needs to go to get this $hit over with so we can move on. I like him but even if he stays, he has 2 strikes against him already and 1 more mess up while at Tennessee would be bad.

This sounds crazy, but I think Anthony Grant could win at Tennessee. He wasn't successful at Bama but what was he working with?

Oh and I say Grant with the understanding that we are not going to get a big name coach.

I hope we keep him but if we lose him then like Volfan said its not the end of the world

It does make my head want to explode that they wouldn't touch Pearl or Howland bc of shite like this but the guy they hired has likely done just as bad/worse

Tommy B just posted that he will know the final verdict on Tyndall in a few hours. Said he is still leaning towards DT being fired.

Get your ready fellas.

He posted a little while ago that Hart and Tyndall are sitting down for a face to face at 9 a.m tomorrow morning. Still believes that Tyndall is going to get fired.

It's going to be interesting to see what happens. That guy has NEVER been wrong before on anything pertaining to UT football or basketball iirc.

Going to be a long day tomorrow. Curious to see the short list of coaches they'd be looking into if Tyndall is let go.

I'm sure Hart is counting his pennies, nickels and dimes gearing up for the carousel
