I will never forgive myself for selling my ticket to the 2013 Iron Bowl

I've missed three freaking games since I was eight, and two of them are the Prayer in Jordan Hare and the Kick Six

Going with the games I saw in person. I am going to leave out the obvious 2010 Oregon, 2010 Alabama, and 2013 amen corner games. I was at them, but everyone will list those. In no specific order:

2004 UT in Knoxville: My last year as a student and it felt like we took out all of 2003's underachieving out on Tennessee in that game.

1999 Ole Miss @ Auburn in basketball: Fresh off a terrible year in football and we were apparently pretty good in basketball. BEMC was full and rocking and Ole Miss was also ranked. We ran them out of the fricking gym.

2000 Ole Miss: Tubby's first game back in Oxford, Ole Miss was highly ranked and were in full Deuce for Heisman campaign mode.

2014 LSU: Almost my entire family lives in Louisiana and are LSU boosters. It was nice to get them off my back and beat the dog shite out of them.

2007 UF: Tough start to the year and nobody gave us a shot in Gville.

1994 LSU: Most improbable win I have ever seen and kept the unbeaten streak alive. Was with my two uncles who were talking so much shite to me and my dad while they were dominating us. I was also only in 8th grade at the time which makes their behavior sad. They are LSU fans, so it's not surprising.

Besides the obvious title game 2010....recently it was 41-7 vs LSU. They have had our number over the past several years it was a very satisfying seeing that beatdown live in person.

That game and win just capped off a season and a frick you to the college football world. It was no where nearly the best played game but the way it ended was the kick in the nuts that everyone deserved.

There were more crazy games but as far as the most satisfying, it was it by a mile.

1982 Iron Bowl at the Legion Field erector set.

Broke the damn 9-game losing streak.

Satisfaction... incredible relief... joy. A mixture of incredible positive feelings I've never felt at the same level since.

Counting that game, we went 6-2 against them in the remainder of the 1980's (and, frankly, that really should have been 8-0).

23-22 in 1983 over Bama - I was an AU senior and at that game. Picture of me on top of the goal posts when torn down was on front page of the Birmingham News the next day.

You must have been really drunk, cuz that was 1982.

1983 was the Tornado Iron Bowl.

The Auburn-UF games were great. 2001 Auburn-UF was really satisfying.

For me personally, I'd probably say 2004 AU-UGA, 2010 IB or 2013 IB.

I was at the Oregon game, but for some reason I was almost more emotional after beating SCAR knowing that we were going to the game. I just kind of expected us to win the Oregon game.

2010 IB was exhausting. We were at the beach watching and at the end we just all got beer and wine and went to the balcony to decompress. It was like finishing a trial or a big negotiation at work.

Also ignoring the ones you said (and maybe SECCGs) this is the one for me for being seen in person. Just for the swings in emotion.

This. I don't know if you younger guys understand what it was like to be an Auburn fan in the 70's. Losing 9 in a row seriously messed with our minds and to finally win that game was incredible. That game, along with the 89 Iron Bowl were pivotal games in the evolution of the program.

Absolutely agree. I grew up living in Georgia and only became an AU fan when I enrolled as a freshman in 79. Never experienced the Bama scumbag fan base until then.

After the 82 game I remember stopping at a gas station on 280 on the way back to Auburn and the absolutely nasty way the Bama gomers who worked there treated us. It surprised me then. Wife grew up in Montgomery and hates Bama. H A T E S the bastards for these kinds of reasons.

Yep. The title "Most Satisfying" zeros it down. I dont know how many here went to Glendale and how many just watched on TV. But I cant express the feeling I had in the stadium after the game, in the parking lot and walking through the airport flying home. it was unreal. I dont think just winning a BCS Championship would have made me feel that way. But after that year and the way things unfolded, it was just satisfying.

2013 would have been awesome as well and I was not as happy walking through the airport after that game. But it would not have meant as much to me as 2010.

As much fun as I had in Vegas and Glendale that week, "satisfaction" wasn't my primary emotion.

If it had been the first time I thought we deserved it, maybe my "satisfaction" level would have been higher. But after the 1983 and 2004 seasons, my respect for media-generated outcomes and matches couldn't have been any lower. So even though I had a grand ol' time and was very, very happy, satisfaction had very little to do with it.

As was pointed out above, butt-whoopin' the Cocks and the OBC in the SECCG in a championship earned ON THE FIELD gave me much more satisfaction than the BCS.

Now Auburn winning the NCAA investigation over the rest of the anally-pained SEC? Lord above, THAT gave me the most *intense* feeling of satisfaction!

2004 seasons

See, I walked out of the superdome in 2004 mad as hell after the Virginia Tech game.

I was even more pissed when USC thumped OU. That season ended on a bad note for me. I hate it because it was such a great season and the team was so strong.

Ok, ok, I got off on a tangent.. I should have edited to add that those two wins might be the most satisfying to me. Look, I was in Glendale, I totally loved winning the BCS, but I don't know if the feeling was as good as 82 or 89 for me.
