I know he's around Mainieri's age because they were at UNO together.

Age wise, you're right that wouldn't hold water. But I think this is year 20 for him, so the case could be made from that side.

I thought that too as McArtor was at Mizzou for I think 20 years too. But I just don't know that any of it would hold water. People have been clamoring about TJ for quite some time now. It might allow the athletic department to put a positive spin on it publicly, but I imagine everyone would see right through it.

That's a problem of not having many casual fans of college baseball. Casual fans are the ones that eat up the PR.

Either way, I think this years performance on the field along with how far they take the program this season will probably be a deciding factor but not the only one. I think they will take a snapshot of maybe the last 5 to 10 seasons and guage if there is any pprogress. I think they are looking for progress. If they see a trend they don't like, I could see them just not renewing TJ's contract.

Oh we split the series with Pinebluff. I think aTm is next. Buckle the seat belts, this could get bumpy.
