When is the last date for basketball signing? I thought it was in a couple of days but I haven't heard anything new on Malik or Kasongo.

James Banks has been rated a 4*.

Lamar Peters is our #1 PG target for next year.

What did the 247 article say about Kasongo's visit?

Kasongo doesn't really ever do interviews, so they talked to his "mentor". TTFWIW. I don't know anything about the guy.

However, he said Kasongo loved it and that he sees a decision coming within the next week. He doesn't have any officials set up to my knowledge except for one that he set up like 4 months ago to LSU in early May.

Malik is announcing Friday at noon, and this guy says he expects a decision from Kasongo within a week. Seems like we have a lot riding on that 12 o'clock time slot Friday.

Gotta love this little gem - (Quote function keeps crashing on mobile rant)

**Ole Miss is not after the 6' 10", 230-pound juco post player Ray Kasongo anymore. His advisor, Brandon Bender , is known as a "runner" and middle man and had the NCAA looking at Oregon after they signed Kasongo before his juco stint. He also put Central Florida on probation. Bender's shady dealings with the NCAA goes all the way back to 2011 when the former Louisville hoop player (who left their program in a mired of allegations) got into the AAU business and became a known middleman.
Simply put a player who averaged 6 points and 5 rebounds is not worth the controversy and the watchful eye of the NCAA that would come with his signature.**

That's straight from Yancy. What a frick up.

Yeah Kasongo has an OV with UT this weekend. What would yall say the chances of signing him are? I'm saying about 50% on Kasongo right now but feel like Malik is closer to 75-80%.

That visit may or may not happen anymore.

Apparently his mother is against the visit and wants him to sign with State. I'd say there is about a 90% chance we get both right now.

:dude: :dude:

I haven't kept up with Kasongo very much and seems as if everything about him comes through someone else.

My favorite is that they apparently just learned this like Saturday. Turns out Kennedy is not only admirable but also oblivious according to Yancy.
