My first true memory was when I was 2 years old so I can't answer that question with certainty.
However, if my father was anything like I am...probably.

One of my all time favorite movies.
No. She was far too competitive. She was constantly pushing her little sister to become better thru competition.
1) Her husband was back home from the war. She knew that this would be her last game. She had one shot to win the World Series. She wasn't going to just give that to her sister. Her sister was going to have to earn it.
2) She legitimately looked shocked and panicked when her sister rounded 3rd base on a mission from Hell.
3) The collision was brutal. Anything could have occurred in a collision like that.
Essentially, her little sister truly out played her on that day. Her little sister earned it.
