Why no spring games for Texas A&M and Kentucky?

Just noticed this. Is your team too busy hooking up with the yell leaders, Texas A&M? I actually believed Kentucky would have a spring game over Vanderbilt, so that is a surprise.

I think Kentucky isn't having one because they are renovating the stadium

That would also be the reason for Texas A&M.

Well, I guess that makes sense if both are being renovated. I was surprised to see the amount of teams around the country that don't have any sort of spring game.

It means there's a sad state of affairs in Gainesville when their fans are resorting to spring game smack in March.

I figured he was trying to talk smack, I just couldn't (still can't) figure out what he is trying to say.

I don't think he is. I mean we didn't have a spring game last year and I don't know if we're having one this year either.

You can't hold a spring game off campus. We applied to a waiver but were denied.

I didn't know this. I'd heard rumors that last year we'd considered having it at NRG Stadium (where the Houston Texans play) but ended up not having it. And I knew that we weren't having it, again, this year. But I didn't know that it was the NCAA who were keeping us from doing it.

A&M is not having one, because their defense wouldn't show up.

Well you'd only be able to trot out 1 LB and he's already thinking about what Fournette will do to him

Oh, we hired a new guy to take care of that. Maybe you hadn't heard.

What a stupid rule if true that you can't have a spring game off campus. God I hate the NCAA.

And for UK, the closest location that would allow them to host would be Cincy. I sincerely doubt UofL, EKU, or WKU would allow them to use their facilities either.

Logistically it just doesn't make sense to have one during renovations.

I'm pretty sure this is an SEC rule and not an NCAA rule. I could be wrong though.
