After the Dec. 30th bowl loss, LSU finished their solid season with the defense ranked #9. They led the SEC in total defense.

LSU fans do you see the 2015 season finishing with the tiger defense in similar ranking? How do you see Kevin Steele's first season going? Do players respect him as much as they did Chavis?

LSU will be a top two defense in the conference, like usual.

I see us taking a small step backwards next season, and then a larger step backwards the season after that.

Team is still loaded with talent, so I dont see much if any dropoff. Secondary will be beastly and DL should be improved. Looking forward to having a pass rush.

How so ? The Tigers have an elite set of defensive coaches and basically re-load on recruits every year !
Our football problems have predominantly been of the QB nature !

This is about how I feel with it as well. Not to slight our defense, but our offense is atrocious. Miles is gonna run Fournette into the ground, no one respects our passing game (not like they should) and our defense will be left on the field.

Sources say they haven't seen this much respect for a coach in a long time.

This is true, and I do hope I'm wrong in what I said. Either way, it should be an exciting year.

Check out what LSU's TOP was last year with that terrible offense.

While you're looking at the TOP, I'm looking at the W/L column and points scored (or lack thereof rather)

Word is they respect Steele a whole lot more than they did Chavis.

Seem to at this point. The wild card here is that Orgeron will be on the sideline whippin up spirits and also improving DL play which has lacked the last 2 yrs.

Unknown for LSU this year is LB crew. We are pretty thin there but have good talent there.

DB's should be the among the best overall group LSU has ever put on the field.

DE's should be very good but green.

DT is where I think LSU picks up some improvement this year. We were green and undersized last season. All the DT's have a year under their belt and are at the 6'4' ish 300lbs+ range now.

Bottom line is that expectations for this year and next are for serious contention for NC. This is QB change years for Bama (Cooper and Yeldon gone as well), Aub, and OM. MSU still has Dak but lost a ton of the support folks. aTm and Ark are unknowns to me now because they should be better but how much??? who knows...

Jalen mills and Jamal Adams. Both possible first rounders in the future NFL draft.
Tre white possible first round draft pick
Kevin tolliver and Ed paris both 4 and 5 star corners. Dwayne Thomas at Nickle position.

Yet that has nothing to do with the original statement.

Our D will be more attacking and I like that.

The defense will be better if the offense even thinks about pulling it's head out of it's arse

The QB play will be better and the plays will be more in line with the talent on the field this year. QB's wont set any records but will be adequate. Upside is a resurrection of the midrange passing game and audible calls.

Who really cares about where they ranked when Chavis let the biggest games slip away on such a consistent basis? You can have that shite.

Hard to improve on #1 in the SEC but pass rush will improve. If the offense can improve at all should see best defense in the nation not sure about offense it's all about our QB. Loaded every where else.
