... only five teams above .500.
Georgia Bulldogs: 48-17 (.74) (65)
LSU Tigers: 41-24 (.63) (65)
Florida Gators: 38-24 (.61) (62)
Alabama Crimson Tide: 40-26 (.61) (66)
Auburn Tigers: 34-32 (.52) (66)
Tennessee Volunteers: 34-36 (.49) (70)
South Carolina Gamecocks: 34-38 (.47) (72)
Arkansas Razorbacks: 25-39 (.39) (64)
Ole Miss Rebels: 23-48 (.32) (71)
Mississippi State Bulldogs: 24-51 (.32) (75)
Vanderbilt Commodores: 22-55 (.29) (77)
Kentucky Wildcats: 15-56 (.21) (71)
Missouri Tigers: 35-36 (.49) (71) *
Texas A&M Aggies: 34-36 (.49) (71) *
* Big 12 road schedules < SEC road schedules

•Only five SEC teams finished above .500. Is that surprising? Not too much. Playing on the road in this conference is tough. It’s a nasty environment against top tier talent since 2000.
•The Georgia Bulldogs stand above the rest, and ironically, the Bulldogs were the SEC’s only top tier historical power to not win the BCS Championship.
•Four teams — UGA, LSU, Florida and Alabama — finished with winning percentages above .600, which is impressive. Again, of the four, UGA was the only team not to win a national championship.

Say what you want about Georgia, but we are a tough out. If we are on your schedule, it will usually be a war. Like last year - South Carolina whipped us, but it came down to the wire.
Same with Flori ....
never mind.

Must be nice for Georgia and Florida to not count Jacksonville.

It Is amazing that Alabama is above .600, when considering the abysmal road record from 2000-2006. Nick Saban is more impressive on the road than at home.

Really impressive considering how badly we sucked before Saban.

Georgia's road record is impressive - nothing to troll about.
I'm not sure how they are counting the WLOCP but it appears that they do count them as road games and have split them evenly reflecting every other year when the away team is designated as the away team. But they did not apply those games to the totals. So Florida and Georgia - it's hard to determine the WLOCP as an "away" game for either program in any given year because of the way they split tickets and the close proximity to their homes.
It is interesting to note that all five of the teams above .500 have played far fewer than 70 road games though ... while everyone else, except Arkansas (which has absolutely no excuse for their road record), has played over 70 road games and then you look at MSU and Vandy and you're like, WTF?
Even if you split the WLOCP games between UGA and UF evenly, seven (7) each ... UF would still not have played 70 road games again, EVEN IF you give them the seven WLOCP games they played within the borders of Florida.

They don't count the WLOCP as an away game since it's at a neutral site. If you count it we're 53-27...66.3%...
It would still keep us in 1st place tho...

I'm surprised it's that high. Although Richt's first few years we were absolute road road warriors. Couldn't beat Florida but I think we only lost 1 or 2 road games in about his first 5 years
Edit: Started 22-2 on the road...losing 03 to LSU and 04 to Auburn. That continued until our awful season of 2006

The stats for Auburn are either wrong or we must have one hell of a home record compared to everyone else. Our overall winning percentage since 2000 is close to 70 percent and we only have 3 or 4 fewer victories than Alabama and Florida

Does that include Alabama's vacated wins?

19 of your 32 road losses have come since 2008...
4 in '08
3 in '09
0 in '10
4 in '11
4 in '12
1 in '13
3 in '14
So 14 more from 2000 thru 2007 is reasonable...
