I have a theory re baseball and weather.It's not that you can't play baseball in bad weather. You can. It's that no one wants to sit in the stands during bad weather. All of those inherent pauses between pitches and innings. That a single at-bat can, with a string of fouls, take five damned minutes. If it's precipitating and/or cold then nobody is going to sit for it.
I figured this out at Astros training camp in Florida. Kissimmee in March is a windy place and the wind chill can get down in the low 50s or worse. You can play the game in the cold and the rain, but only a fool would buy a ticket.
