It's quite clear that somebody killed himself. The media loves it: African-American + hanged + tree + Mississippi = clicks. Justice Dept. drums it up for their own divisive reasons

The dead guy's name is Otis Byrd and he spent 25 years in jail for murder.

Just read the guy was convicted of Capital murder in 1980 and paroled in 2006. So even if this turns out to be murder I don't think there will be a crazy nationwide revolt.
