What state would you recruit your qb from?
The state of Texas currently has 11 starting quarterbacks in the national football league, that is one I know of but which state actually produces the best qb's or which state would you constantly want to recruit a qb from?

SC does well with QB recruiting in PA.
Steve Tannyhill did well.
Then we got PA Gatorade POY, Brendan Nosovitch, a couple years ago.
Now we have the highest rated QB coming in, Brandon McIlwain, that we've had since Garcia.

The better question is of the 11 how many actually played CFB in Texas.

There are 6 starting QBs from Texas:
Nick Foles
Matthew Stafford
Andy Dalton
Ryan Tannehill
Andrew Luck
Drew Brees
7 if you count Johnny Manziel.
Two of these QBs played for a Texas College (Dalton and Tannehill).

I don't think you can count on a guy in rehab to be your starting QB

8 if you count Ryan Mallett (who is really from Arkansas anyhow).

interesting tidbit I heard somewhere, Kyle Allen is the first QB to start for aTm that isn't from Texas. Thought that was interesting when I heard that.

I'm sure they will have some lame excuse as to why that is.

Without a doubt, it's Pennsylvania. You have Marino, Montana, Unitas, Namath and Jim Kelly. There's also Rich Gannon, Matt Ryan, Kerry Collins, and Marc Bulger. Easily the greatest QB state of all-time.
