If Urban Meyer catches Saban in titles, where will he fall compared to Saban?

Both will have 4 titles apiece, both at 2 different schools.

Saban is considered the undisputed best coach in the sport, but an argument can be made for Meyer if he won 2 titles at 2 different schools.

The way he has Ohio State rolling, he could catch Saban soon.

Would Meyer supplant Saban as the best in the sport with another title?

saban would definitely beat meyer in a championship game. sugar bowls don't count, it's hard to get a team up for that.

Meyer would have won 2 during the playoff system.
He would easily pass Saban.

Saban is considered the best and deservedly so, but if Meyer catches him in titles the argument is not so black and white.

Can't you argue it now? I don't know if I would say he is, but he did just beat Saban head to head in a NCG type situation without his top 2 QBs.

I think the debate is here already

Urban Meyer is a great coach. But how can anyone call him the best coach in the game when he has landed at ideal situations at two well-known powerhouses? Florida in 2005 had the talent to win the SEC but lacked the experience. This was due to the excellent recruiting done by Ron Zook in his three seasons there. At Ohio State he was given the keys to a mansion.

Saban inherited a program that had gone 46-40 since the year 2000 as well as a program that had yet to recover from the harsh sanctions put in place by the NCAA five years prior to his arrival. Since 2007, the Tide are 90-16 on the field.

Meyer is a scumbag motherfricker, but he's a better coach than Saban.

In terms of accomplishments, they're pretty equal. I just find the work Saban has done at LSU and Bama more remarkable than what Meyer has done at Florida and Ohio State. Bama was in bad shape and LSU was completely irrelevant and Saban turned them into SEC contenders by his second year. Meyer had it much easier IMO. Even with Zook, Florida was pretty competitive against elite teams. Actually, all four of Florida's losses in Zook's last year were by seven points or less. They easily could have won ten or eleven games that year with a little luck. And Ohio State was just one year removed from Tressel. So I have to go with Saban on this one.

i think the are the two best coaches in College Football right now.

Its indisputable.

What Meyers has going for him is that he will be winning in the playoff era, what he has going against him is that he bailed on the SEC because he is a little bitch.
