I don't get why OM fans want Andy Kennedy gone

I've seen threads for 3-4 years wanting AK gone even some this year hoping another school hires him from ole miss.
The guy is their all time winningest basketball coach and has been to the tourney 2 of the last 3 years and won the SEC tourney. Very under appreciated in my book.
congrats on the Win Rebs, but give your HC some respect his gameplan for the 2nd half tonight was flawless.

I'm giving OM props for a great comeback. I thoroughly enjoyed watching the game.

I melt and say "FIRE HIM!" after we lose games but usually I'm pretty quick to say that's not what I actually want. Even if we had gone to the NIT, Kennedy deserves at least one year in the new arena. His teams still frustrate the shite out of me though.

It's probably something similar to State wanting to fire quite possibly the best coach in its school history.
I've been a Kennedy fan since he turned Ole Miss around the first year he got there. There's a small chance ole miss could fire him and do better, but it's far more likely Ole miss would downgrade (See Stans to Rick Ray)

Byu is an up tempo type of team while South Carolina is more of a half court grind it out.

Literally the only coach I can think of that could do what he's done is Michael White. But that's not a given. Plus I'm not really sure we'd get him.

In all 100+ years of basketball, we haven't had another coach as successful as he has been. Now he's getting a nice arena. He'll be able to haul in some recruits.

as good of a coach I think White is, no one big is going to hire him until he takes the Dawgs dancing. He's gotten so damn close, but most major ADs would receive flack for hiring a guy who hasn't made the dance

Like others have said, it's only the morons that want him gone.
We have the worst tradition in the SEC aside from maybe USC. Our arena is the worst (for now), we never send players to the NBA and we don't even have six tournament wins much less a title.
Kennedy is as good as it gets for Ole Miss basketball. I hope he stays as long as he wants.
