Looks like it's going to be Crean, fellas. I'm not very excited about this hire. It's going to be sold as we stole IU's basketball coach when in reality, it's more akin to Curry bolting for Kentucky before we could fire his arse. Guess we'll have to live with this decision for a few years and it may work out. He's got to be an upgrade from Grant, but it's not the home run hire I wanted. I'd be happier with anyone on my previous list not named Prohm over Crean, but what do I know? I'm a Bama fan, so by default, according to some on this board, I don't know jack sh*t about basketball. But I did know enough to know that Grant has been here way too long and we couldn't do much worse. Glad for the change if nothing else, and a fresh start. I hope I'm wrong and Crean works like a charm.

Where are you getting this?

Sorry I'm too lazy to look it up.

Who is this guy Crean and where is from?
You never know he might work out.

We took a chance an a vitrually unknown coach in January of 2000 that worked out ok.....

He's Indiana's coach so don't know if this is a subtle flame on how far from under the spotlight they've stumbled.

He was Dwayne Wade's coach at Marquette. And he married into the Harbaugh family. These are his accomplishments.

Brad Stevens, Greg Marshall, Mark Few and Shaka Smart are beating down their door just hoping to get the job.

Tough break for those nobodies.....Bama is going to bring Phil or Pat out of NBA executive spots and back to the bench. They will win the NCAA tourney next year because no one will be able to defend Alabama's triangle offense. It is going to suck for us....we are screwed.

Tom Crean would be a good hire but not sure he bolts IU. I did read son got booed at his high school basketball game so maybe he wants to get out of town.

One of the Harbaugh brothers is a lock for Bama DC when Smart leaves.

Bama basketball is not an elite job. It's a good job but no better than the rest of the SEC. Kentucky and maybe Florida are elite (Florida depending on who you ask). If a coach of any ilk comes to Bama he's probably gonna leave if Duke, UNC, Kansas, etc come open. Being a blueblood program comes with those perks. However, we could take their football coach.

Well if the other thread has any truth to it aren't you looking rather silly.

*** Bill Battle feels very good about his opportunity to ink Marshall.

*** Both parties were on the same page as of late yesterday afternoon.

*** Expect the courtship of Marshall to be completed today and Alabama remains in excellent shape to land his signature.

*** There are no more contractual points to work out.

"They" is the equivalent of the "its still real to me damn it" wrestling guy, except being Bama fans. "They" are also sidewalking bottom of the barrel fans.

The head moderator there(if he is actually using his real picture as his avatar) looks like a child molester
