Who has been more dominant over the course of history.

No slight to Bama but I have to give the edge to Kentucky. #1 in wins and #2 in NC's. They will end up passing UCLA for NC's.

Kentucky Basketball.

Harder to win a national championship. Most of Bama's MNCs were purely objective and even the recent ones largely involved tons of luck.

To get a football nc, you need to go undefeated or have one lost. There are plenty of bball ncs where the team had at several losses.

My counter to that is how many games does each play in a respective season? Odds go up for a loss when you play more games.

I'm biased so I'm staying out of answering the OP though.

Upsets are more common in basketball though and they play way more games.

It's a lot tougher to go through a 38+ game basketball season undefeated, or even getting through it with just 1 or 2 losses. Although I feel I'm only pointing out the obvious.

Kentucky hasn't had NEAR the in-conference competition in basketball that Bama as had in football.

This feels like a thread to marginalize the success of Alabama football.

Keep in mind, when discussing Kentucky's dominance at basketball, how shitty the SEC has been as a whole at basketball for most of its existence when compared to other conferences.

I feel like Kentucky basketball may still have an edge because of the distance between themselves and the rest of the conference. But the "not even close" comments are a joke.
