I know there is zero chance of it happening but if they did would it be more impressive than Gus winning the SEC his first year? I say yes considering Auburn would have to defeat the greatest Kentucky team ever assembled.

Yes. Without a question

It would involve a bottom tier SEC team beating one of the best teams of all time.

If that happens the world will seriously end. Having said that, I'm all for it.

Doesn't Auburn control its own destiny?

IF we keep winning, NCAA champs?

If you'd told me Wednesday I'd have a chance to watch auburn play Saturday is have thought you crazy. So yea, no chance of winning tomorrow, much less tomorrow and Sunday but it's been a whole lot of fun getting to this point.

Seriously? Would be 100 times greater accomplishmentioned then what Gus did. Gus had waaaay more talent his first year compared to BP.

Would be the greatest event in Auburn basketball history I know that.

And if this UK team lost to Auburn in the tournament, they would not be the best UK team ever. I actually think that would help them in the NCAA though. Get that undefeated monkey off their back.

100 times? Don't get carried away. While I agree it would be greater you have to remember that Auburn team did not win a SEC game the year before. They then won the championship of the greatest most competitive football conference in the country. Winning the SEC in basketball against this competition excluding Kentucky is not really saying much.

Yup.

Would also be 2nd behind the 2008 SECT for best bball story in SEC history

the 08 run will never, ever be topped. Ever. When you take every little thing into account that happened those few days, it would just be impossible for a story to eclipse it.

That is very possible. Two days ago Auburn playing Kentucky in the tourney was virtually impossible. Just being this far in the tourney is a big step for our program.
