I have a question for anyone that may have information on Devin. Is he from Springhill or one of the small towns which makes up the North Webster School District?

My dad went to Sarepta in the 80's but my neighborhood has a bigger population than that place so I'd bet that he's from Springhill.

He wants to play LB at OM. Says his future in the NFL is at LB and not RB

He seems to go back and forth on the whole running back/linebacker position.

To the OP, I think we have an okay, not great, shot of landing him. I imagine this will be one of those recruitments that goes the distance even if he does commit somewhere.

I figure OM is selling him on LB because they don't run the ball on offense.

quote:

Coach Bret Bielema made certain he knew he would be a running back at Arkansas and he really liked that because that's where he wants to play.

The Razorbacks are recruiting him as a running back.
I like Arkansas because: They have an awesome coaching staff, great fans, facilities and down hill offense

He seems to be flip flopping in his stance as to what position he wants to play. LSU has only recruited him at RB thus far I think. We need LBs badly in this class so I hope he could end up at LSU as an LB when all is said and done. RB is a position this year where we could really get away with not taking one. If he wanted to play RB at LSU though he'd certainly be welcomed and will be recruited hard. Sounds like he first needs to figure out what position he wants to play in college

He sounds like he is telling each teams writers what they want to hear regarding the position he would play.

He will probably go to LSU and play FB (because of the RB depth) or be a special-teamer as an oversized ATH.

Honestly I think lsu is doing the same thing we did to get Russell shepard. Promise a chance at one position then move on to the other once that shot is over. In my opinion, his future is at lb. Hard hitter with good speed for coverage. That's what we need him as, we are loaded at RB and no one is older than a sophomore.

Yup. He's LSU's to lose. With ole miss being a distant 2nd

If LSU doesn't land him they should reconsider their place in the conference

Apparently the kid actually making the decision does.

If you put stock in an edited instagram pick, you're pathetic.

Somebody takes recruiting way too serious.

However, to answer your question, I put stock in the fact that the kid who is actually making the decision has already made two trips to Fayetteville on his own dime and will be back again. Sure he probably won't pick Arkansas but to say he isn't interested is laughable.

Nah man. He came up to watch LSU play 15 minutes of basketball. Duh.

We aren't his home state

We have the least effective bag men in the conference.

Looks like an LSU/Ole Miss battle to me

LSU is out in front, with Bama and Ole Miss in the picture. Arkansas is a very distant 4th if you even want to consider them.

This kid has not said LSU is out in front that I have seen; at least not lately. He said just recently that Bama is recruiting him the hardest. When a kid says that, he is usually trying to find reasons to leave the state. I think he's all Bama at this point but that could change.
