Just curious because NC State is fun to watch.

I will hang up and listen.

TIA

Gottfried is a terrible person and I never want to see him on campus again. Don't really have much of an opinion on Lacy. I don't blame him for transferring. I think he was handcuffed a bit by Grant.

Gottfried could actually get us to and advance in tournament. Players jumping ship - but can't blame Bush... I mean Mark, for Lacy. Both a million times better than anything we have or have had since MG left.

Kind of. Got there 5 out of 11 years.

Not really. Only one Sweet 16 appearance in 11 years.

We won't say it, but we miss both and have sucked significantly since both left.

Yep, we have done so much better since then. Did JPW take your lunch money? Mark?

Gottfried was a good recruiter but not much on the X's and O's while he was at. Bama. Surrounded himself with good assistants but got lazy on the recruiting trial his last 3 years. He's ok in my books but still would not want him back unless he would work tirelessly, which he didn't do at Bama after the sweet 16 run he made. Maybe he learned his lesson and now understands you must work hard for your paycheck.

Gottfried only had 3 winning seasons in the SEC. When we made the tournament, it was usually as a lower seed. We were ranked #1 for a total of 7 days at one point, and ended up being on the bubble at the end of the year. Had plenty of players leave early and/or transfer because they couldn't stand him (Gerald Wallace left after one year because he hated Mark). Before the first game we played after he was fired, the players were laughing about it. They couldn't stand him.

Gottfried built a program but could not sustain it. He was like a less successful Alabama version of Tubby Smith. He got content and lazy and the team showed it towards the end of his tenure.

Trevor Lacy made a great decision. He was a shooter playing on a defense first team. It would be like Johnny Manziel playing in Saban's offense. His talents were never going to show playing for Alabama.

Ralston Turner is a very good player for Gottfreid too. Wish he could have stuck it out at LSU, but was a casualty of the coaching changeover.
