One thing about Bo Wallace that nobody ever talked about or admired

He was tough. Yeah he left the LSU game with 2 seconds on the clock but that dude never came out of a game unless it looked like his ankle had been broken (Arkansas) and even in that game he came back in. Then the next week he carved up State's defense without being able to run. Say what you want about him but I can't think of a tougher quarterback in the last decade or so that we've had.

I've hated Bo at times, but he really did improve our program by miles. As time goes on, I think more and more people will appreciate what Bo did for us

He's kind of like Brett Favre. Turned the ball over a frick ton but he had games where he was legendary, like the Alabama game last year and LSU in 2013.

Bo was a good not great quarterback in my opinion. He elevated our program, but at times it did seem like we won in spite of him. We don't have the success that we had if Bo doesn't sign here. But, we also could have reached greater success if Bo would have made better decisions at times. Essentially Bo is the epitome of a "Catch 22". You love/hate him at the same time. I believe he will always have that affect on our fanbase.

The definition of a gamer, IMO.

I'd go to war(football obviously) with that kid anytime. I saw several times in the locker room where that guy was crying his eyes out over a loss. It didn't seem to affect some others in the same way. Bo had my respect.

Except for Brett had many more of those legendary games to compensate for those turnovers

I was part of the media in 2013 and you really do see a different side of them when the cameras are off. I remember after the A&M game seeing Bo and it was almost heartbreaking how bad he was hurting. Denzel has done some shitty shitty things but I do remember him going to Bo, hugging him and saying it wasn't his fault.

Bo was a winner.

Give it time. Bo will go down as the best QB we had not named Manning. He is in an echelon with the likes of Romaro, Patridge, and Fourcade.

Agree. I've always put him the same category as Patridge and Romero.

Bo will be up there, but if he is the best quarterback not named Manning, then things have gone awry. I read multiple scouting reports on Donte Moncrief last year prior to the draft and a majority of them had the line "held back by inconsistent quarterback play". This is no knock on Bo, but I believe if Freeze recruits quarterbacks that fit in his system, that the quarterback position has a higher ceiling at Ole Miss.

This isn't a knock on Bo, but I hope in 3 years time this isn't the case, especially with Kelly, Switchblade, and Patterson lined up. We hope each of those outshines Bo, by a lot.

I agree, but reality is we have not developed the quarterback position well at all in the past 30 years. All other positions have been decent, but QB remains an issue.

We hired a basically unknown coach from Ark State who followed a terrible coach w/ a terrible record and he had very little time to put together a class. We were damn lucky to get Bo and P. Burton. Nutt left us w/ no qb and no lt.

I agree. Currently, I am just looking forward to having a QB who doesn't cause me as many heart attacks during the game, but we were lucky to get Bo at that time.

I think harping on the inability to develop a QB over the past 30 years is not an institutional thing but rather a coaching thing. That being said I don't see why people bring it up as much because Freeze has only been at Ole Miss for 3 years and did a fairly good job with a kid with all theheart/brain but not the physical tools to be a top level talent.

On a different note what do y'all think of Bo as a coach? I bet if given time Bo might actually be a very good at it (you know those that can't, teach right?).

Good luck to him but stay away from Ole Miss' staff.
