Here we go

quote:

(CNN)An officer, responding to reports of a suspicious person, shot and killed an unarmed man who was running around in a metro Atlanta apartment complex naked. The officer fired two shots when the man charged at him, said Cedric Alexander, the public safety director of DeKalb County. But given that the man was not carrying a weapon, the police department immediately turned over the case to the Georgia Bureau of Investigations for an independent probe.

play stupid arse games, win stupid arse prizes

Dude was fricked up as a bucket of worms but I don't know if they shoulda kilt him. Haven't seen enough info or video to make a call. I know he charged the po po but I know few of the details. Was the officer alone? how many cops were there? Guy was butt naked. Could he have been tazed?? Just a lotta questions in my mind right now & I usually give the authorities the benefit of doubt until I get the "facts"...

Bunch of kids brutally kill a buddy and his mom at home. Burn the house down. No CNN?

Cold blooded murder

Wonder if my buddy had his hands up when they blew his brains all over the yard.

Agreed. Need to wait for the facts but seems like the dude was on PCP. Not sure why cops don't use tasers on unarmed men though

Give me a break. This has False Flag written all over it....

The bill to De-Criminalize fireworks sales in Georgia passes the house, and so now they think they can manufacture some controversy to clog the headlines so the Georgia senate can squash the fireworks bill under the radar....

AKA: Business as usual in the ATL swamp...

Legalize it.....

..Don't crit....i....cize it.......

Officer safety - the only thing that matters is that they go home at the end of their shift. Literally everything else is secondary to that.

Maybe the colored fellow was raging on crack and levitra. Im not sure there is proper protocol for a geeked up black man racing toward you with three pounds of throbbing cock

Its best that we let a jury decide this

He supposedly had a taser and didnt use it. The other option might have been to shoot for an upper leg although I know that is a smaller target. Of course staying in the car and waiting for back up might have been helpful too.

He had a taser and pepper spray. While I say, charge at a cop...frick you, the question the FBI and GBI are investigating is abuse.

All the witnesses basically say (outside 1 that's been reported) the naked dude rushed towards the cop.

Honestly, I've never been shot for charging a cop, hands up or hands down

And if you were a police officer, what would be your #1 priority? Just curious.

1. Have you ever shot a gun? Hitting a target is not easy. hitting a moving target is MUCH harder. Narrowing down the area you hit a moving target is near impossible with a hand gun. And if he misses and the guy has a knife it could cost him his life.

2. Stay in his car and wait for backup? Sounds like a good idea. However, if the officer does that and the suspect kills someone the media would want to know why he sat in his care while the suspect killed someone. They are in no win situations. It is easy to sit at home and second guess. Totally different when you have seconds to make a decision or lose your life.

At the end of the day, if you charge at a cop you deserve whatever happens, but it is a question of excessive use of force in some of these cases

If you ever pull a gun to stop a threat, you shoot for center mass. If you aren't willing to kill the threat, you could argue they aren't enough of a threat to warrant using a gun. Plus a close range shot to the upper leg can be pretty deadly once that femoral artery gets nicked.

Not referring to whether I think it was warranted in this case specifically because I don't know enough about it to really say anything.

My guess is the cop was shooting at center mass. With the stress of the situation, he happened to hit the crazy guy in the leg. He was probably very happy he hit the guy somewhere to stop the threat.

There is a very, very distinct reason for that CNN wouldn't report something like this.

Turns out the dude running around naked and barking incoherent gibberish was a military veteran and was taking some high-powered psycho-tropic drugs to treat a mental illness......

Anybody else notice this detail as a common theme in so many of the bizarre and tragic news stories: Mentally ill veterans on psychotropic drugs.

From the Fort Hood shooter to the nutcase vet that shot propaganda poster-child Chris Kyle...... All involve veterans being administered dangerous psychotropic drugs. And it's not just veterans. Look at the Sandy Hook shooter or the Batman shooter in Colorodo, Va Tech or Columbine...... All mentally ill people being treated with these powerful brain-altering drugs.

Thought: Why are there so many mentally ill veterans or otherwise doing crazy shite these days? WHy is this such a new phenomenon?
