So the Eagles gave Kelly the keys to the car. They are $45 million (or so) under the cap. So by way of recap, in the last two years, they have exported DeSean Jackson, LeSean McCoy, Mike Vick (not great, but seemed like a good fit for his scheme, certainly better than Foles, Sanchize, and Barkley), Jeremy Maclin, and everyone who ever played secondary for them to the rest of the league. Thankfully, they re-signed Mark Sanchez.

Is it just me, or does this look like in 2016, Kelly will be looking for a college gig again? If so, which SEC team do you think will be in a position to take advantage? Could look a lot like the Saban sweepstakes. Also, if anyone has any idea what Kelly is doing or trying to do with the Eagles, I'd love to hear it. Objectively, he appears to have made the Eagles worse in just about every area.

It seems to me that if Sumlin keeps trending down, it could be Aggy that can take the money it overpaid him and give it to a good coach.

Wouldn't that be fitting. Replacing the best offensive mind of the 90s with his guru successor. I wonder how long SOS will be in the game.

The Eagles came out on top in most of those moves. McCoy has a ton of mileage on him and Alonso is a great LB. The Skins and Chiefs are overpaying for Jackson and Maclin and Foles is miles ahead of Vick at this point.

They obviously have to address the secondary in the draft/free agency. Running back should not be a problem with CJ Spiller, Reggie Bush, Demarco Murray, Shane Vereen and others available.

I think Kelly will be in Philly for a while.

Also wrong board.

I'm not sure how you worry about McCoy's mileage and get a guy with an injury history that is both lengthy and significant. They might not get caught with bad deals on the backend of careers, but it isn't really helping them compete right now, it would seem. Now who knows, the guy seems to have the golden touch, but this seems like an overreach.

ETA: it is the right board. GFY!

Would Aubie dump Gus after another mediocre year to grab Chip?

Has nothing to do with the OP's scenario.

I am the OP, so I'm pretty sure I can tell what has to do with my scenario.

He's pushed all the right buttons so far, but man the Eagles have some big holes on defense, in the backfield, at receiver, and on the defensive line now.

They're gonna get Frank Gore for a year.
