What would you consider a successful year for BB Hogs?

Similar to football and the Bowl Game, my pre-season expectations for the hoop Hogs was to simply make the NCAA tourney. I still feel that way. Of course I would like us to make a decent run, but if we get knocked out the first round, I would still consider this a good season.
What were your preseason thoughts? What did/do you expect out of this year?

At the beginning f the season I would have been ok with an appearance but after watching us play and grow all season long (a few bumps aside) I will be dissapointed without at least making it to the 16. Its all going to depend on the draw for sure.

I am afraid we may take a step back next season, *(Dale will surely disagree) but I would like to see at least a sweet 16 on our resume this year to help with future recruiting, media exposure, etc.
I think we are headed in the right direction if recruiting can keep up. Look good so far

We're a projected 4 seed on Warren Nolan today. WOW!!!

Round of 32 would be successful. Anything more is icing on the cake. But honestly I've seen enough progress this year that a 1st round exit would still be a success. Disappointing initially, but still progress. And progress is what I want.

I'll tell you after I see the bracket

Going to be awesome to actually tune into Selection Sunday again. I haven't watched it live or with any decent level of interest in years.
I went to UA in the mid to late 90s when that show was huge. The last 10 yrs or so have been especially painful for hoop fans of my generation.
Proud of em. If we get a couple marquee recruits in the next few years then i think we'll have some serious momentum to maintain this year's performance level. And seriously, that's about all we can ask for. That and an occasional 'special' team to really (really) make a run.

I want an NCAAT win at least. would love to see a sweet 16 or better. But we all know it all depends on matchups in the tourney. I could see us anywhere from a 1 and done to an elite 8 depending on the region.

Is it wrong that I read the title as "Bret Bielema's Hogs" and came in here ready to talk some football?

me too, i would be a bit disappointed i think since the season has gone so well- better than i expected- but once that wore off i'd be happy with the season as a whole.
one thing that would suck would be if the other teams in the sec, the bubbles not ky, had a good run in the tourney and we didn't.

I don't want to get upset in the first round of the NCAA tournament. I WILL be disappointed if we lose a 4/13 or a 5/12 matchup.

Subject to changed based on placement...
I'll be mildly upset if we get bounced in the first round.
I'll be OK if we lose in the second round.
I'll be happy if we only make the Sweet 16.
I'll be ecstatic with anything beyond.

We have already made good progress from last year, you can't ask for a hell of a lot more. We've won more road games this year than the last 4 combined.
That said, I will be a little disappointed if we lose in the first round. Depending on the opponent, maybe a little disappointed if we lose in the second.
That said, I think it's been a very positive year already.

I already consider it successful by being a tourney lock.

This^^ would be nice to get to the SEC final and get another crack at Kentucky.

Making the tournament is "technically" progress and I would be fine with getting to the 2nd round if I thought Portis was coming back.
If Portis doesn't come back then we really need to make the Sweet 16 this year because a lot of things would need to go right for us to even make the tournament next year without him.
Fives years with one NCAA tourney victory would not look like progress to most fans because then you leave yourself needing to sign Malik to prevent fans from becoming disgruntled or doing exceptionally well out of state.
A sweet sixteen appearance puts skins on the wall and gives the program some cushion to weather a possible down year in 2016.
