Bama QBs

Who will transfer after Spring Training ? With 4 of their QBs being Sophomore or younger, someone will lose their patience. If Coker wins the job, will Saban announce who the backup will be ? Or will he avoid it to keep the 4 around all summer.

What's hard to understand about the question?

His point is that someone losing their patience because they aren't starting as a Sophomore or younger is not being very patient.

Who announced backups in the spring. Thats just a ridiculously stupid question on your part with an intent to flame.

Wont have to. The top 2 will be pushed harder to compete getting more of the reps. It will be fairly obvious. If the third string stays around its because he thinks he can overcome the older backup with one more year of practice.

Seems the QBs losing patience would be the upperclassmen not young guys.
Saban hasn't started a QB at Bama with less than three years in the program.

Whoever can't cut it. It's pretty simple.

A player can lose patience for more reasons than just not starting.
Maybe they get tired of being buried on the depth chart and not getting enough reps?
Maybe they feel they aren't seeing enough action with the 1st and 2nd team.
Maybe they feel they should be the backup, rather than another in their same class.
Maybe they feel that waiting 3-4 years to even have a chance to start isn't worth it.
ETA: Hayden Rettig is a good example. He left LSU because he felt he wasn't going to have a chance to start. At least one of these players will be in the same position, maybe two of them.

I'd have said Morris, but I believe there was something about him staying no matter what. I guess it'd be between Bateman and Cornwell. I wish neither would leave.

The OP specifically said due to loss of patience.
It's very simple, upperclass Qb's are more likely to transfer than younger guys regardless of reasons.

Everything I listed can contribute to a loss of patience.

At this same time last year I had zero confidence in Blake Sims ability to be productive at QB and lead the team. Man was I happy when he hoisted that SEC Trophy in December.

Looks like Rettig might have made a mistake. Where is he now?

They look around and see fellow classmates getting a few more snaps during practice, so they decide to move on. This happens everywhere, but AL failed to sign a great QB for three straight years, so now those effects are showing.

Well, this thread is about whether any of them transfer. How the player feels will have a significant impact on that decision.

Rutgers, unless I'm mistaken. According to many "insiders", it was pretty clear he wasn't going to get a chance to play much this year. A lot of them said he was passed by Harris by the Spring, and I think the Spring game reaffirmed that.

Some will transfer, not for the idiotic reason in OP, hence my original confusion.

what is the criteria for being a great QB?...to win the SEC?..hell, we had a converted RB and y'all had a converted DB that did that ...were they "great"?
