Bo Jackson is the most overrated athlete in history. Accomplishments on the field are lot less than his hype. I compare him to Brock Lesnar in UFC. Lots of hype, short career, entertaining as hell.

Bo moved as well as Prime, but was 30 pounds heavier. He also could hit for much more power and had a much better arm than Deion in baseball, without losing any speed.

You're completely retarded if you think Bo Jackson was more accomplished than Deion Sanders.

Deion Sanders was a career .263 hitter for 9 seasons. He had 558 hits, 39 hr, 186 stolen bases and 168 rbi.

Bo Jackson was a career .250 hitter for 8 seasons. He had 598 hits, 141 hr, 418 rbi and 86 stolen bases.

Both of them were mediocre players in baseball.

Now in football. Bo Jackson flamed out. Deion Sanders was the greater cornerback of all time, won superbowls on different teams and is a Hall of Famer.

Bo Jackson scored 18 career Touchdowns in the NFL.

Deion Sanders scored 10 touchdowns on defense and 9 on special teams plus 3 more as a receiver to even score more touchdowns than Bo.

The only thing Bo knows is how to milk publicity and a reputation that is almost entirely undeserved based on any sort of production.

As an unbiased Vols Fan and UGA being my second fav SEC team, Bo equals GOAT. I have nothing but respect for Walker however BO was on a different planet athletically regardless of statistics.

Jesus Christ you are one obsessed moron. Even a total idiot like you should figure out why Bo never had a thousand yard season in the NFL. He never played more than 7 or 8 games in a season since he didn't start playing until baseball season was over. However he does have one of the highest average yards per carry in the history of the league.

For all the Georgia morons or anybody else who thinks Herschel was better, just check their average yards per carry. Not even close in Bo's favor in both college and the NFL

Never had a 1000 yard season in NFL

Ran for less than 3000 yards in his NFL career

Lost to Alabama in 1984 and 1985 (Junior and Senior seasons)

Never won a National Title in college

Never won a Super Bowl

Took himself out of the game and quit vs Tennessee in 1985 when the Vols were spanking them on Rocky Top

There are soo many other SEC backs with better resumes.

Herschel is goat sec back because:

played only 3 years and had 1500+ yards every year

won a heisman just like Bo

won a national title and 3 sec titles

Had over 8000 career nfl rushing yards and 5000 in USFL

Is an undefeated MMF fighter

Heck, It's not really even a close comparison

Bo had this

and this

Bo wins

I am surprised anybody who argues Deon Sanders was a better baseball player even is capable of turning on a computer

Bo only played 4 seasons before his hip injury, but he hit at least 22 homeruns all 4 years. Also was one of the top outfielders in assist each year from throwing runners out. Deon Sanders was a singles hitter with a mediocre batting average and a weak throwing arm

Some Aubs sure thought we was the goat...that's goat, not GOAT...in the 1984 Iron Bowl. Having an edition of the Iron Bowl named for you because you fricked up is quite an accomplishment.

I'm not surprised someone from Auburn fails at reading comprehension :P

I said both Sanders and Jackson were mediocre baseball players. That much is in evidence from their stats. If you actually check the numbers though Deion Sanders was a much better defensive player than Bo Jackson. (both outfielders but a .982 field pct vs a .963) Bo Jackson was actually a bad defensive player.

Sanders mediocre BA was 13 points higher than Bo's btw. His on base percentage was 10 points higher.

In their careers in baseball Sanders and Jackson combined to lead the league in a category 3 times.

Sanders led the league with 14 triples in 1992 and in being caught stealing 16 times in 1994.

Bo Jackson led the league with 172 strikeouts in 1989.

They're pretty much comparable baseball players in terms of team value. Keep in mind that Deion Sanders never appeared in more than 97 baseball games in a single season because he was a hall of fame football player.

I can point to many players that have higher YPC Averages thanBaryy Sanders did every single year/ And probably better than Emmitt Smith and the other great running backs of all time. It's because they didn't carry the ball as much and defenses didin't stack the box as much. Can you base the greatness of a player soley on YPC Average?

Bo was a great. I honestly can't point to the better back. They were both phenominal. But to point to YPC as a deciding factor? Suspect at best.

Michael Vick has the All-Time highest YPC average in the NFL. Do you think he was the greatest?

Your argument that Deon Sanders was equal or better based on his batting average is laughable. Especially laughable considering Bo played half his career with an artificial hip.

A healthy Bo hit many more homeruns, had many more RBI's, and was a much better defensive player
