I know Malzahn doesn't want any information to ever get out, so maybe he is able to keep reporters quieter now that he has been here a few years.

I mean, they aren't even allowed to film the warm up sessions like last year. Seems like Malzahn being Malzahn.

The Spring football information has been abysmal
I don't think it has been that much different from last year.

Gus just doesn't let any information out. The "media" portion of practice is a joke. Every player & coach has been taught the coachspeak angle for their interviews so now they all talk like Gus.

"Jovon Robinson is talented as hell but needs work on picking up the offense"

"Ricardo has the ability to be the deep threat that Sammie was and he's better with the ball in his hands but needs to work on his routes and drops"

Well no fricking shite.

There just isn't new or exciting info out there.

I know Joey, you are right. I was being more facetious than anything. I am just ready for football. When is ADay this year. I think it falls on my daughters graduation from college.

What do you expect them to say?

"That smiff kid is a stupid motherfricker and slower than we thought. Im sorry we recruited him. My bad. He will likely be processed. I've indicated as much to coach Garner. His fat arse will be next if another one like that comes through that fricking door."

Nice extreme example there.

You're absolutely right. No way possible they could expand on how practice is going further than this...

quote:

"We need someone to assume that role, and we've been really good the last couple of years of taking the top off and opening things up, but I think Ricardo, he can still be an all-around, well-rounded receiver," offensive coordinator Rhett Lashlee said.

"Right now, he runs probably as good as anybody on our football team," Lashlee said. "He's just a very talented athlete."

"He's really trying to emerge as a guy we can consistently throw the ball down to the field (to)," Tigers coach Gus Malzahn said. "Everybody has seen that he's got running back skills in the backfield, but we're going to really work hard on the down-the-field consistency playing receiver. I know Coach Craig is working extremely hard with him on that."

"He's really been running good routes," Lashlee said. "He's catching the ball better. He's someone you really hope just explodes and has that senior year you're looking for."
quote:

"He's got a really good feel in the slot," Muschamp said. "We've just got to continue to build his stamina and his endurance, but he's going to be a good football player."

"We also play him at safety so he does a nice job in the deep part of the field," Muschamp said. "He's got some really good instincts as far as the reception area, running the alley and those sort of things."

"The work ethic and all that, it's just a real hard transition coming mid-year, especially coming into a new situation," Muschamp said. "It's good for him because everybody's hearing it for the first time new."
quote:

"When he's just grabbing the ball and playing, he's doing well," offensive coordinator Rhett Lashlee said. "It's just going to take time as far as the way we practice, the protections to knowing all the plays and where to line up, because we go faster than he's ever gone before."

"He's a lot bigger, a lot more powerful," Auburn right tackle Avery Young said. "He came in with me back in 2012 and (the way) I see it, he could be a real good fit."

"You know, we're going to give them an opportunity to show what they can do," Malzahn said. "We're going to go a lot of live. When we can go live, we're going to go live, and those guys are going to get tackled."

"Physically, he's ready to go," Lashlee said. "He'll have an opportunity because when he's just running and playing. He's pretty talented."
quote:

"The coaching staff that we built is second to none, obviously," Frost said. "With personalities and everything, things change, but for the most part it is pretty different, pretty high intensity and they really demand excellence."

"Kris, he brings great energy, great effort," Auburn coach Gus Malzahn said. "He is a guy that played a lot of football that is in position to step up as a leader."
Wow much insight.

So much learned.

Chillax bros. We didn't get much during Spring Break last year either. Things will pick up info wise when practice resumes next week.

Time for a very important question. What will JJ's sleeve repertoire be this season? We've seen a couple variations from him.

My favorite, obviously, was his look during the Arky game:

Look at how clean that looks. You can almost see the word touchdown exuding from his fingertips .

We've then got 2014 A-Day JJ:

Another classic look. I do like the orange sleeves.

Next is the full sleeve look:

This is an okay look. Nothing stands out, but still some sleeve magic is obtained.

finally we have this decrepit look:

Just asking to be intercepted if you ask me.

Pay attention JJ. TJ Lang took my advice on this, and when he finally sleeved up, started and had one of his best games of the season.

Looks like it varied based on climate. Don't blame him for wearing a short sleeve on a hot day.

A good sleeve can help wick sweat away, aiding in cooling and revitalization of touchdown throwing abilities. As was exemplified in the Arky game which was one of the hottest games of the year.

He was horrible on 2014 A-Day.

Orange sleeves are RIGHT OUT.

Yea, but I feel that might have been the Orange Jersey cancelling out any sleeve magic. Plus, he at least needed a leg sleeve. 1.5 sleeves is needed for a definitely power ratio. (Leg sleeves count as half a sleeve). More sample data is needed to determine Orange sleeve potency.

Actually depends on the person. I for example don't sweat at all from my arms or pits. All my sweat is generated from the top of my head & chest. I would need something to cool those areas.
