I think a win puts us in for sure. A loss may still keep us in it as long as it's not a blowout loss. We might have to win 1, maybe 2 games in the SEC tourney regardless.
As much as the selection committee looks at RPI, SOS, last 10 game record, they want to know you have the capability to beat good teams as much as who you might lose to. And LSU has proven they can beat other tourney teams a play well against better tourney teams even in losses. The question is will those other factors outweigh their potential.
We'll see.

LSU has too much talent to be playing NIT ball.

Arkansas needs to be thinking about South Carolina right now.
It's on the road and they knocked us out of NCAA consideration last year in the SEC tournament.

LSU should make the dance. If they wind up in the NIT it would be like putting a great white shark in a guppy tank. LSU has a good team.

Ags sure are pulling for LSU to get the W... LSU needs to get into that top 50 RPI so we'd have those two wins.
Ags don't have many bad losses, and have taken care of business at home for the most part. That is the strength of their resume, and we really need that to continue to make the tourney.
