Whatever makes you feel better. Your AD has a pretty well documented history of getting pushed around, the NCAA sanctions you received being the latest example

Did LSU not tell aTm and the SEC that they won't play their home games vs. aTm on Thanksgiving and that it will be a night game, if LSU chooses so?

That Sounds like dictating terms to me.

What could the AD have done in that situation?

Hard to say. Both teams have unique advantages over the other. Going forward from right now I think Arkansas has the advantage... but I am a Hog fan. I am sure any self respecting Aggy fan will say they have the advantage.

Care to actually be specific in your reasoning?

A&M has the higher ceiling by a landslide IMO - $$, alum base, new stadium, politicians even.

A&M does have a larger home recruiting base, but based on scheme I would say Arkansas has a higher ceiling. In CBB's offense you don't need a ton of superstars to have success. The more you have the better you'll be but you can hide some average players in his system. Not so in the spread. If you can't put 3-4 legit playmakers on the field in the spread, you are going to struggle. Not to mention how each scheme compliments the defense as has already been mentioned.
I'd say $$ is about equal given the ability to generate big boosters in NWA as well as College Station.
slight advantage to Arkansas but again... it from an Arky angle.

Most of our boosters come from these 2 little cities called Houston and Dallas. I hear there may be some oil money floating around.

We told you the game would be on Thanksgiving and you were forced to deal with it. Your fans will probably continue to bitch about it for years and not a single frick will be given

Then why haven't they done anything with it?

FIFY

Meanwhile, we told you the game wouldn't be on Thanksgiving and would be a night game, at our leisure, every other year and you were forced to deal with it.

Why did you have to switch to playing on Thanksgiving though? You've been in this conference for forever and they just let us have our way with the schedules

Arkansas has a bigger ceiling, but it's not really something to brag about. Not hard to get higher than A&M's 3 win ceiling.

Oh, and rivalry application still denied.

I haven't met a single Ag upset about having to play on the friday after thanksgiving when in BR. So what are we dealing with exactly?

aTm got to keep your tradition and LSU got to keep ours. It's called a compromise. I'm not sure what's so hard to understand about that.
