If the lounge marginalization, pricey chairback seating, and lofts built only for the rich and powerful are on the table then why isn't naming rights?

I'm at a loss. Chair backs come out to being under $40 game. Very fair for premium seating imo. I think we priced everything correctly.

I am neither blind nor deaf so your metaphor was poorly placed.

There has been so many opinions in this thread from we charged too much to we didn't charge enough.

I'm usually very cynical and pessimistic but I think we got these price points right. Only time will tell.

I never said anything about premium seating. I said a simple chair back. There will no longer be bleachers. Sure, you can buy a general admission for 5 to 10 bucks, but if you can't shell out a little more money for the upgrade we are getting then it's pretty pitiful on your part as a fan if you were a previous chair back ticket holder. It's new, do you honestly expect the price to stay the same? I'm speaking in the context of those who already own chair backs FWIW. (Not directing at anyone, just in general).

I understand OP is talking about administration raising prices which eliminates those who don't have that type of income to afford to attend games on a regular basis. I was talking in context of those bitching about a increase in price for chair backs when they can actually afford it. I guess I did go on a little bit of a tangent.

I was going to ask Allyn to go in half for a loft but it looks like a no go from the get go. Hell, I was even thinking about picking up 2/3 of it as long as he brought the "models" in for game days.

If I stayed in MS beyond Christmas, I would go for the 2/3 deal. I wouldn't bring in any models. I would just do casting calls when in town. That would make it a business trip, and we might actually find some new talent that we could farm out for $$$. Win/Win.

Lots of part time work during shoots. We probably could get a volunteer for titty wrangler duty. That's the person that is dedicated to catching nipple slips quickly during fashion shoots.

Yeah that's just the thing, it's not premium, every seat is a chairback. Most anyone should be able to afford that. Premium spots are a different story.

It's 1,500/seat plus cost of season tickets?

1,500/seat for 10 years flat and im in 100%.

No worries. Nothing said in this thread matters really anyways. If we want to enjoy the greatness of baseball in the finest college baseball stadium ever constructed...we'll pay up.

And it will be the finest, and people will pay. Especially after getting a taste of what it'll look like during construction. Can't wait.

It's 1500 donation for 10 years, you pay for the tickets every year.

I go to a lot of games. I have been on the waiting list to buy chair backs for years. I buy mine each year from a guy who has very young children and just doesn't use them. Other than SBD Weekend and when we host a Regional, many people never show their faces at a baseball game. They keep their tickets because for $500, they are afraid to lose their 2 seats. Plus, it helps their priority number. I suspect there are going to be people letting their seats go because they are not going to pony up the $3,000 just to be able buy their tickets that they don't use. I am quite comfortable with the current Dudy Noble but I understand if you want to recruit, kids want the glitter that a stadium like this produces.
I will probably do it just because we go pretty much every weekend the weather doesn't suck. But I thought long and hard about not getting football tickets this year because the required donation has gotten so high for decent seats. I will probably throw it all toward baseball and just get individual football tickets to games I really want to attend from StubHub or some ticket exchange. I can tailgate and be in front of an HDTV in 10 minutes to watch the football game.

Yeah not going at all is kinda shitty of people. So I'm starting to understand the need to make them put up or shut up. The folks that truly care about going will put up the money. I can't lie, at 500 I would be less motivated to go all the time as well, but I live 2 1/2-3 hrs away.

Folks that live near Starkville and don't go...smh

It's so easy as a student to take for granted all of the great things to do for free. Wish I had made many more games. All that free time too, shiiiiitttt I miss college.

I've been asking myself for the last few years why I didn't do grad school and become a professor.

My neighbor teaches at UCLA. He teaches one class a semester and does research the rest of the time. He is taking a sabbatical next semester mostly because he "needs" the break.
