We need the support of even those who only buy a shirt or hat.

The 20k deposit goes toward your 50k per year price. Just like with any other premium seats, you have to make a deposit and then you are free to pay off the remainder of your pledge for the rest of the year. Also, there is absolutely no way they are going to charge another 14.5k for cleaning and utility fees.

People are fricking freaking out and making shite up to make it sound way worse than it is. A common person cannot afford a loft, nor should they be priced so that they can.

Go look at the page. They clearly state an estimated 14.4k (1200 a month) in fees for upkeep and utilities.

Pivey you can shove your rich boy frat attitude straight up your suburban pansy BR arse.

frick you.

This is Mississippi if you haven't figured that out yet. Most people don't have 1,500 laying around per seat just to watch some baseball that they can't even make it to midweek games and most friday game because not everyone lives <1hr away from Starkville for one, and two it's too effing cold the first part of the season. Most people work 8-5 Mon-Fri. Football is a completely different story.

Where do you get off with that piece of shite attitude?

People like me, aka most alumni, have the means to purchase these these seats; But there's no way we would be able to do it when you factor in the cost vs. the amount of games we could make. Baseball is largely supported by local families and these prices put them out of the chairbacks.

Well that seems outrageous.

The rest of my point still stands.

Yeah I didn't realize the deposit counted toward the annual fee, which is nice. The utility fee is outrageously high though.

Agreed that they should be priced high, think I just didn't grasp how high until they announced it. 65 grand a year is a hefty amount of cash.

frick yeah it is.

That being said, the lofts are unlike anything else in college baseball. The only thing I can think of that is even close are the apartments behind Wrigley.

Needless to say they're not trying to attract you and I.

Well maybe me in ~10 years.

As long as they're donating 65K per year to our baseball budget I couldn't care less who has them.

It's simple supply and demand. If they rent out all of the Left Field Lofts at those prices with maybe like 20 people on the waiting list then they did it perfect. If they have 200 people on the waiting list at those prices, they didn't charge enough.

Well yeah... It's just like all of the boxes at the FedEx Forum are all rented yearly by corporations. This is not a new concept.

Speaking of the Fed Ex Forum, I'll be there Friday night to watch my Lakers.

As terrible as they may be.

Never said it wasn't. But if we're going to sell lofts on campus to corporations why not just privatize the entire university so we can truly sell out. I think people tend to forget that this isn't a business, it's an athletic program for a government university.

Man it is either one end or the other around here. Jesus Christ.

How many boxes at the Football games do you think are paid for by corporations?

Even though it doesn't seem that way to you, the lofts are actually going to make everything else more affordable for everyone else. We are building something very nice, and it will cost us a shitpot full of money.

Have shitty facilities, people bitch about shitty facilities.

Have world class facilities, people bitch about higher than anything above dirt cheap prices.

My complaint isn't lofts, it's the ducking lounges being so cheap that there is no turnover.

General admission is going to be way nicer than it has been. There will be affordable solutions for the casual fan and for the fan that doesn't want to pay for the premium services.

I went to a UCLA game down the way earlier. There were maybe 200 people at the game. The thought of a premium seat out here would blow people's minds much less a fricking loft.

I understand and agree with the things both of you guys had to say. I was just playing devil's advocate.

I just wish it was done like original concepted(this is even a word?) and be sold out like you described, like a condo.

Leave the lounges alone. Most of those people have been there supporting this program from the left field back when it was just pulling up trucks behind the fence. They are the backbone of the fanbase for baseball, they have raised their families out there. Those people were here way before and will continue to be there far after.

I'm glad the administration could preserve what they could of the LFL. Do you know any of the folks out there? Some of the best folks you could ever meet.

Honestly I think my whole view point on this whole thing is that sometimes there are things far more important than money.

Oh it's beyond that. State is setting a trend and simple minded folks are bitching b/c they cannot grasp the big picture.
