Auburn's Mason may miss remainder of regular season

He's staying in NY to mourn the passing of his father, former NBA star Anthony Mason. My heart breaks for the kid.

Sucks for Auburn basketball as he is our #1 or #2 best player, but the kid needs to do what is best for him. He's going through a lot right now and I hope the best for he and his family.

Wish him the best if that is what he chooses. It is apparent he was very close to his dad.
Auburn will just have to play in the NCAA tourney down a top player, I wonder if it will affect our placement and seeding?

Prayers out to the kid and his family. Bruce seems like a great guy to help get Mason through this scenario in my opinion. I'm glad he's able to spend this time with his family.

I hate this for Mason. I can't imagine what he's going through. Thoughts with the family.

Must be really hurting. I feel like most times guys will go play because that's what his dad would have wanted.

So do I, I loved his dad when he played with the Knicks and Hornets.

AM was one of my favorite players even though I hated the Knicks. As unorthodox as he was, he could play any position on the court. To this day, I think he is one of the more underrated players to plat the game.
