We will take the composite no. 1 recruit and be fine.

and it shouldn't be hard to figure out, I don't have a need to come up with creative names to hide behind. How does it feel to wake up with all of the Malik to LSU momentum after giving us your insider access yesterday lol. I swear I won't make you feel bad if you want to bandwagon on with us, better late than never man

How stupid can one person be? Why post in this thread anymore?

Is your qb still crying? Knowing him he left campus before the end of the year...he leaves early from losses it seems

Yup. LSU is killing it right now and may be the scariest team(outside of the top 16 seeded teams) heading into the NCAAT.

MS has had a lack of talent since 2011 and, even that year, 1/3 stayed instate, only to immediately transfer to Duke. Top talent has continued to leave MS since 2010. Don't get me wrong, I understand why, but I think Newman would be a statement for future MS kids, especially Ole Miss with the new facilities. It's clear that our AD has bought in and my opinion on Kennedy has changed quite a bit this season. He's actually developing a team/bench and not relying on Chris Warren, Terrico White, MarSHALL, or Murphy Holloway to dominate the game.

Regardless of where he goes, I think we can all admit it would be fun to watch him and Moody.

Shepard wasn't #1 on Scout, Bryce Brown was. I don't know about Rivals, though.

As for, coming up creative names, you called me stupid or dumb...where did I create a name for you?

As for Malik, I've never had the slightest of hopes he was going to come to Ole Miss. Maybe like .1% after his visit for the football weekend against Bama, but that was probably due to just being pumped about the football win. If y'all get him, congrats, y'all will be a tough game...a game that will still be played and not ruled a victory due to recruiting class #.

True that. LSU and Louisiana had the same issues with Trent Johnson. To be fair to TJ, the state talent went dry right after Brady got fired. However, every other year there were guys like greg Monroe, Tweety Carter, and Ricardo Gathers who could have greatly helped LSU but went OOS.

Jones has made it cool again to go to LSU. We have solid facilities and a surprisingly good tradition, so it's not like Jones is selling a weak brand.

I realy like the parallels between Freeze and Jones has coaches

-both are at their dream schools
-both were very successful at sun belt schools
-both are elite recruiters
-both have growing pains as head coaches but are getting there

exciting times ahead for both schools

Well, I know the ABC's, can count to 10, can drive a car, went through 20 years of education...I'd be willing to bet a dollar or two, I'm not the landmark for stupid people.

Really? Uncommitted player in the state of MS and I can't post in here? Why are you still posting in the Shea Patterson thread?

Damn, you really put me in a fragile mindset after this one.

I like comparison of Johnny Jones to Freeze, pretty appropriate.

I don't know why but I laughed pretty hard at the jump from car to 20 years

It's almost uncanny. also...

-both are highly regarded in the coaching circles
-both are high character Christian baws, and both are "players" coaches
-both have improved each season
-both walked into a shitstorm and zero depth, just a few quality players
-both have a ton of skeptics from opposing schools
-the Martin/Mickey combo is the foundation like the 2013 Ole Miss football class was
-both have had their moments of brilliance and "What the frick was that?" moments, especially on offense

I just wish our fans would show a little grace and patience like Ole miss fans are with Freeze. Everyone wants depth, flawless execution, and dominance so quickly. It took Alabama's golf coach 10 years to make Alabama a top 5 program, but he did it. They've now won 2 national titles. It's taken DD Breaux 30 years to make LSU gymnastics a national power. Coach K even had a miserable 3-4 seasons starting out. It just takes time, adjustments, and a learning curve as they go. I've been as pissed off at Jones as the next ranter at times, but the process just takes patience...something almost all of us lack these days

Do you honestly expect CJJ or any basketball coach in the country to be given 10 years to turn around a program these days?

I never said fans should expect coaches to be given 10 years. I think Rich Rod is an excellent coach, but Michigan completely shite on him. My point was that fans lack patience on so many levels, and really good coaches get fired as a result of that. I understand that's part of the business, but being fired shouldn't always be a preconceived notion that coaches aren't good at what they do

My grandfather has volunteered tabulating the scores since the program started, so I've always had respect for the program. He was a gymnast at Georgia Tech, so he's always been a huge fan of the sport. Her first top 6 finish was what, in 2004 with Burkholder? Okay, so it took her about 20 years to make the program what it is today. same difference. And even at that, LSU was never a national power until Breaux had a breakthrough and signed Hall, Courville, and Jordan

All you Corn Doggies are getting those hopes up again. Just like Leo Lewis and Jamal Peters, Malik will be following in his Papa's footsteps and headed to StarkVegas, his girl Victoria Vivians is already there, along with the other Jackson's Malik, Malik Dear. All of the JR's will be SR's and Malik will be all we need, to make some NIT noise in 2016.
