The 6-foot-5 guard said he hasn't talked to Grant about the sixth-year Alabama coach's job security, but he conceded that he worries about whether Grant will there next season.

"Some days, I do - like, I be praying that they get wins on top of wins," Austin said. "That's my home."

No. He should and will get his release if he wants it.

BTW this doesn't tell us much in terms of Grant. He even said in that interview that he hasn't talked to anybody about Grant's job status. He's likely just going by fan reaction.

Nah, from the sound of it he signed to play for Alabama first and foremost but would also like to play for Grant.

He decomitted earlier this year but his coach said he didn't. If Grant is here he wont get a release IMO.

If Grant's still here he won't want to leave. If there's a coaching change he'll get the release if he wants it.

Brandon, if Grant's the reason you are coming to Bama, you should work on getting released ASAP

Donta Hall wants to play for Bama because his dad was a huge Bama fan. He's Bama all the way.

Donta Hall is actually a great recruit and he's not going anywhere. Not sure I've been more excited about a recruit in the Grant era. Some of that does have to do with the lack of solid post players during that stretch.

Meh. Pretty much every recruit under Grant has been so-so except for Levi and they weren't low recruits either

You haven't "hered" it from me every year.

He grew 3 inches since his commitment (now 6'11 barefoot) and was a top 100 player according to ESPN at 6'8". I'm not sure what his final averages ended up being, but earlier on this season he was averaging 20+ ppg, 20+ boards and 10+ blocks. For a team that's desperately needed a quality big man for some time now, it's something to get excited about. Don't shite on my parade...

How polished of an offensive post player is Hall at this point?

I'm not sure about his post game, but I've heard he's got a solid shot out to 17 feet and is great at putbacks. According to what I've heard, he sounds a bit like Jordan Mickey... That's not to say he's that good, but that's a good comparison as far as playing styles go.

Most great collegiate big men don't have a good post up game. Willie Cauley-Stein sure as hell doesn't have much of one, but he's going to be a lottery pick.

What? Have you watched Mickey's game? He's not a great post-up guy. He's a great rebounder, great shot-blocker, an excellent putback guy and has a solid midrange shot. It's pretty much the same scouting report for Hall. Once again I'm not saying he'll have the same impact, just that they have similar playing styles.

It's funny how you admit you haven't kept up with recruiting, but try to make me look like the dumbass when I talk about a recruit. I've never seen someone feel so strongly about someone they know nothing about.
