We lose Marcus, Echols, and Nemi to graduation. Wouldn't surprise me in the slighest to see someone transfer either but I can't really speculate on that.

Obviously losing Marcus and Nemi is huge. We have 3 new guys coming in; a G, F, and C. All are 3 stars according to rivals. Next year's roster reminds me a little of the 05-06 team in that we should be excellent in the backcourt but could struggle some down low. That squad had a backcourt of Yata, Billy Humphrey, Brophy, Mike Mercer, Levi Stukes, and Channing Toney. Down low though we had a sophomore Bliss, Younes Iddrisi, steve newman, and a Fr Rashad Singleton. That team went 15-15 but 5-11 in SEC play.

Next year we'll have Parker, Mann, Gaines, Frazier returning at guard. Wings/forward will be left to Forte and KPG. At C we'll have Yante, Iduwe, and a signee. That's kinda rough. Yante should be great at C but we just don't have anyone proven behind him. Hate to say it but Kessler is just really bad and I don't see him contributing.

Next year's schedule is similar to this years. We have tech, clemson, Kansas St, and Seton Hall OOC. Missouri, UT, bama, vandy, SC...all those teams look like they'll be similar to this year. UK will always be good. I don't know enough about UF to project but I'd assume they'll be better. AU will be better for sure. LSU will be better. Idk about everyone else.

Overall I don't think we'll be quite as good top to bottom as this year, but we should still be pretty formidable. A starting lineup of Frazier, Gaines, Mann/KPG, Forte, Yante should be solid. I think based on what we saw this year, it's not crazy to think we could challenge for the NCAAT next year. I don't know if we'll make it, but we should be fighting for it all year.

I'm mostly with you what we'll look like. Probably a bubble-ish team, that if I had to put my life on it, won't make the NCAA tournament.

Glad to see us picking back up the Clemson series. Is the game next year in Athens?

I'll predict we are an NIT team next year, but wouldn't be shocked if we were an NCAA tourney team.

I would be ecstatic if we could add a grad school transfer post player. He wouldn't have to be Marcus Thornton level, but another guy down low that could average 8 points/8 rebounds a game to go along with Yante would be huge. If we add a solid experienced piece there I think we make the dance.

Yeah we will be hurting down low for sure and from what I've heard Iduwe isn't even close to being a decent backup. Hopefully he can improve during the offseason. I know this is a bit of a stretch but next years squad reminds me of that Villanova team back in like 2008 where they played a 4 guard starting lineup. Randy Foye, Kyle Lowry, and Mike Nardi all on their squad. Maybe we will look something like that except not as good

Your post sums up Fox's inability to recruit front court players. The next 2 classes are guard heavy with no signs of low post help. It's a scary thought not having Nemi and Marcus in the post. I'll enjoy this year and hope for a respectable March run, but you summed up next season very well.

The crazy thing is Fox was a post expert out in Nevada. Might be time to try and get a couple of Juco big guys

Fox has been able to develop his post players really well. Thornton's transformation is a testament to the job Fox can do with post men. He just needs to recruit better, and Yante is a start with that. Iduwe is a major project and if Fox can get this guy to average 10 and 5 a game he is a miracle worker.

Not in this upcoming class but the 2016 one. Tyree Crump. Both of our current 2016 commits are 4 star SGs.

Nothing more than a conciliatory hat on the table as the hometown team.

Ogbeide, the big man from Pebblebrook was a big get. I think he will play 20 minutes a year next season. We will be very talented in the backcourt positions. A 5th year transfer big man would put us over the top. The other 2 incoming players will be good players over their careers in Athens, I think Turtle will be a key contributor right away.

Iduwe is a long ways from contributing. Might be a bigger project than Tim Dixon. And if Kessler is playing more than 5-10 minutes a game we are really hurting.
