It's my opinion the league will show it's much better than outsiders believe. Sure it all depends on match ups, but what are your thoughts on the ceilings of each team?

Kentucky: National Title Game
Arkansas: Elite 8 Game
LSU: Sweet Sixteen Game
Texas A&M: Sweet Sixteen Game
Ole Miss: Round of 32 Game
Georgia: Round of 32 Game

I would like to have Ole Miss higher, but they've been in let down mode lately. Out of the 6 predicted tourney teams, it would be a good showing for four of those to make the sweet sixteen.

I'll just be happy to not get into a play in game then win one. Heck before the season I didn't even think we had a shot to go dancing.

Ole Miss is definitely in a slump but I think it's because they had such a good run. All the success went to the players' heads and now they've been brought back down to earth. I could see them making the Sweet 16 if Moody gets hot.

Pretty much this.

Getting to a regional semifinal this year would certainly inflate expectations for the inexplicable recruiting class coming in next year.

Kentucky - Final Four

LSU - Sweet 16

Maybe one other makes a surprise run to sweet 16, but I doubt it.

No way SEC goes undefeated in the first round.

All but Kentucky and one surprise team lose in the opening round. Conference is really overrated when a team as bad as ours wins a few games, going to get embarrassed.

I don't think anyone makes it past the Sweet 16 other than Kentucky, who will probably win the tournament. Arkansas has a shot at getting to the round of 16, but I don't see any other teams making it past the round of 32.

It's tough to answer until the brackets are set and until you see who's hot when the SEC tournament concludes. You can always have a situation like last season where a team like Tennessee before going in might not be picked to do much and then damn near make an Elite Eight with the way things fall.

ETA: And I do think the SEC is underrated and I don't know that you have many lose in the first round.

Ceilings aren't as good a measure as predictions if the predictions are legit.

Kentucky - champions
Ark - Sweet 16
LSU - Round of 32
A&M, OM, and Georgia (assuming they all get in) - 1st round

Really bad teams can win on occasion in basketball. I don't think that makes the whole league overrated. It's not like State is giving everyone a run for their money.

OM still has some work to do. The last two games are must wins after dropping the LSU and UGA games.

Hate to disagree with ya Belle, but I don't think the SEC is underrated at this point in time. I do think the conference is trending upwards though.

Kentucky will make the finals
One SEC team will make the Sweet 16
The rest will lose in first or second round

Who those teams are depend on match-ups, none are locks beyond Kentucky

SEC is underrated. Quite a bit, well underrated by everyone besides kenpom.

He has SEC #5 overall, within striking distance of every conference but the Big12. He has them hands down above everyone.

I watch A TON of college basketball, SEC top 5-6 teams can play with anyone.

I think Kentucky at least makes the title game. I'd be thrilled with a sweet sixteen run for the Hogs this year.

Ole Miss, LSU, Georgia, and the Aggies all have enough talent that if they get hot they could do well, but I think their seeding will likely mean most of them don't make it past the round of 32.

I'm an idiot. You are correct.

Completely depends on the draw though.
