You may not like their music, and I would certainly understand, but discounting the technical ability of Peart, Lifeson, and Lee is just silly. Their live performances are so close to studio quality that it blows my mind.

solid list, along with Belle's addition of Ga/Fla Line.

Throw in single artists:

M&M
JZ
Taylor Swift
Katy Perry

Eminem and Katy Perry are in no way overrated.
Eminem is one of the best rappers ever and Katy Perry is a great artist who owns the best pop song in the last 10 years with "Teenage Dream"

You're channeling old Alahunter with that troll, bub

I would go with U2. I loathe U2. Easily one of my top 5 least favorite bands. I think The Beatles were overrated, but they broke a lot of ground so I'll give them a pass. Dave's band is very good, but his whiny voice is terrible and the sole reason why I hate them. I don't think Nirvana is overrated. Peart is a GOAT drummer, so I can't go with Rush.

Poison, Journey or one of them. Never critics' favorites, but at one time they sold gazillions of albums that have now been melted down to make trash bags.

Every song is the same.

Start talking.. music volume rises.. voice rises with it, fling arms for emphasis, and rhyme.

Having a hundred drums doesn't make a good drummer. The best used the smaller kits.

Curious, you like Hootie right? Or am I stereotyping SCar fans? I feel the same about them as you do GNR.

He's not considered one of the best because he uses a lot of drums.

Nsync. They were average, but are now held in higher regard due to retroactive credit for Timberlake. He wasn't that good when the band was together.

My opinion of Peart would be the same if he was using a more traditional 7 or 9 piece set.
