Unless you've got a vet with lots of goodies.
It has nothing to do with the vet or the surgeon. You gonna have a ventilator or someone to bag them for several days while they're intubated? Good luck monitoring hemodynamics. Just throw them on some norepi and let it run? Step foot in a SICU and then imagine supporting those people in a barn good luck

Both are definitely true.

No, never. Though that work isn't published and it's hard to know the exact facts of what was going on.

A vet can put you in an opium induced coma, perform surgery, and then bring you out of the coma.

Old Dr. Dennis from Folkston can't do that.

1: He has no drugs
2: He hasn't picked up a scalpel in 30 years
3: He hasn't set a bone in 30 years
4: He hasn't touched a syringe in 15 years (nurse does everything)
5: His old arse needs medication from a vet or pharmacist so he won't die, leaving your commune doctor-less.

Most Vets (over 35) in Georgia also have a background in agriculture. Perks.

glad to know it's that easy. Aside from that, you still have the other issues I mentioned regarding hemodynamics, bagging them for days, etc.

The reality is that the types of surgeries being done in this scenario aren't going to be even remotely complex.

We've derailed this thing pretty good.

Yea it doesn't leave you feeling too good.

WHy is everyone so fascinated with this subject these days? WTF is wrong with us? We live in the best word man has ever known and we are convinced the end is near.

Well the thread started because Jefferson just has a childish aversion to anything civilization-related, specifically Atlanta. He seems to have embraced the role of the board's white trash liaison. If there's a chance to come off as uneducated or boorish, he'll take it.

It's actually kind of fun

I'd just lock down my entire neighborhood since everyone pretty much knows everyone and the most strapped are the ones we know the most

As the board's "white trash liaison", I hereby propose that we create two separate Georgia Boards. One for atlantans.....and one for Georgians.

P-Dawg, You can be the metro-sexual liaison for the ATL GSB.

Seconded. Let the hicks talk about their trucks, squirrel kills, trailer hitches, and lack of football knowledge on a different board. Would probably rid this board of 90% of the posters that didn't attend UGA too.

Great idea JD!!!!!

It's settled then.

We'll go ahead and take this board. You fellas can move over to the Help Board and use it for now until Chicken can get you a new board.

Good luck with the launch.

Naw, we have a big majority. Not to mention you foreign folk don't like all this technology stuff. You can start your message board with the postal service.

Man has always been fascinated by the end times and what it would be like. Look at movies and books from many years ago and it has always been a popular subject.

It has, I agree...but I don't think it has been so well covered in a such a short period of time as it has been in since 9/11. You cant sling a dead cat without hitting a TV Show, a book or a movie dealing with a dystopian theme. There are a lot of people who will claim it is due to current events such as 9/11, the financial collapse, even the election of a black president (I like that one but it is meritless). I think the true source of all the angst is the fact that we live in as near a utopian society as man has even experienced and we fell guilty OR fear going back to a time when we might have to cook a meal and God drive to a store to buy a pound of coffee instead of having the man in brown bring it to us.

What about recovered Atlantans who don't live in GA but want to eventually move to coastal GA if buying my own island doesn't work out
