Not saying he wouldn't. Saying he doesn't need too.

Well, no one else has claimed he needs to either. Only that he, and by he I mean Bama, would.

Not what happened. Lsu did not have unlimited contact, that was even acknowledged by Womacks father. When Decemeber rolled around, and the kid said he was enrolling early, we got in contact in order to help the kid setup classes and enroll in school. I have no clue what else we could have possibly done.

Really?

According to Matt Womack's father:

quote:

They used the unlimited contact and they knew if Matt changed his mind they would pay a price," David Womack said.

Yeah obviously huh? Its not like he was committed to LSU or anything.

Yeah, obviously not solid.

You know, since he visited Alabama on November 15th and again on December 12th.

I'm going to go out on a limb and say he knows a little more about it than any of us here. You know, since it's his son and all.

And LSU self reported. That too.

So, you actually don't think Bama would report it if they had knowledge of a violation?

Is Womack 6'3"? Looks a good 12 inches taller than Saban.

According to Matt Womack's father

"David Womack, Matt Womack’s father, told The Clarion-Ledger in the fall that LSU coaches were not planning to contact his son on an unlimited basis because Matt wasn’t completely firm on enrolling early or on his commitment to LSU."

Well, this is awkward.

They didn't, actually. Womack lied to the staff.

LSU AD should sue Bama for tortuous interference. That would be on helluva good show.

C'mon man. You have common sense, use it. Every program would report it given the opportunity.

This moral high ground stance by some of you is pathetic.

Well that's really not a fair depiction, because no recruit would sign one unless they are committed to that school. Its not like lsu made it rain with FAA's.

While I feel for LSU in this case, your statement is not completely accurate. I believe a recruit cn sign as many as he wishes, can't he? Or at the very least he can sign several, and all schools would have unfettered access. That being the case, though, says that LSU did nothing wrong in contacting him.

Unlike Alabama, the LSU football program actually has some integrity.
