I would rather have the entire 1996 Kentucky squad than this team.

If that is the argument this is stupid. We are discussing all century team. It takes in the accolades of the players according to the achievements they had in the game. Comparing actual players in different eras face to face is pointless.

Hell, the LSU 06 sqaud would beat that actual team. But if that is how you chose to view this conversation you are a simpleton

I don't know the whole 50 player list but I can think of people in the league now that deserve it more than Pettit and Pistol. Would it move them out? Who knows.

LSU fans in this thread are alternatively telling people to discount the current NBA accomplishments of Cats players while using solely the NBA accomplishments of LSU players. Let's talk exclusively about college accomplishments.

It reads like you think the 2006 LSU team could beat the 96 UK team. But I see what you're saying now. Perhaps you should work on expressing yourself with words more effectively.

LSU literally thinks they are the best in everything, regardless of hypothetical situation. Pretty fun to read everyday. People changing stats and criteria for different arguments that dont matter is what the rant is about.

Oh I think LSU has a better starting five. But I also think people are discounting how good UK players were because they (a) didn't have the same NBA success and/or (b) played on stacked teams.

Look, if I asked you who the second best olympic swimmer is of all time, you are telling me your answer would not be mark spitz because he would get crushed by the swimmers today. If that is how you want to view this hypothetical argument than I believe there is no point

Im not. I think UK would win an actual basketball game as well. But what is the point of that argument? They will just use modern day players because of the time gap

Agreed. Uk has a more prestigious top 12

Almost like you've never heard of Tim Duncan. I said deserve it more not that Pettit shouldn't be on the list. As I also said, I don't have the entire list memorized.
