An OL losing weight, but improving strength, is going to be looked at as a positive.

The height just shows how precise the NFL scouting reports are when compared to wherever he was measured coming out of high school

His high-school measurements were probably just off.

Exactly.
But at that weight, assuming he didn't glean up a bunch before the combine, he's on the smaller side.
I can't believe I said a man weighing over 300 pounds is on the smaller side.

We know you don't have the ability to discuss actual football matters so you can take it elsewhere. Thanks.

He was pretty adamant that he wanted to play tackle. Maybe he has to keep around 300 to be able to keep up the speed to play on the end? I honestly don't know.

Yeah you're probably right. I suppose you can't coach quickness and if he sees gains there at the combine he can make some jumps in draft positiona Nd make some extra cash. He can always get bigger once signed and find that balance between size/quickness.

Wait 'till Speedy measures 5'6" at the combine

That's what I'm thinking because he has the frame to put on more weight, if he wanted.

Probably. He obviously played well at that weight his Senior year.

That, and showing up to the combine, weighing in at 305 and impressing in the speed drills > showing up, weighing in at 320+ and being slow.
ETA: At least in terms of playing tackle.

He mad.
A&M's best team of the last 50 years got their arse whooped on their home field by LSU.
4-0

We dont feed em during the season. We just throw em out there and tell them lunch is on the other side of the line of scrimmage. Last yr, they only got 8 Suppers.

Is the reason behind this thread because of the bitch La'el made of MG in front of you and a national audience Thanksgiving night?

LC became a work-out freak after he came to LSU. He actually weighed close to 320 when he enrolled at LSU. Their S&C coach is a big believer in adding nutritonal strength without much added bulk to guys like LC who have large frames coupled with adequate mass. At times last season his wt. actually fell below 300. He looks pretty damn healthy at 305.

Then pay that man his money. (Throws Oreos).
I'm a big believer in that school of thought and think many players are simply too big for their skeletal/tendon/ligament networks. Him being solidly trim will probably prevent injuries.

That makes sense--I can see that.
A drastic change in diet could certainly redistribute weight on a frame that large.
