Compare the Arkansas game (a 17-0 loss in which LSU gained 123 yards total offense) to the Texas A&M game (won by the Tigers 23-17 with 491 yards, including 384 rushing). Were those two defenses that much different or did we make some adjustments?

Uh...vastly different. Arky held several teams under their season averages.

I guess actual football conversation is frowned upon around here these days. Too bad.

CCC is a joke in regards to coaching and I'm very happy he's at LSU.

He hasn't done what I thought he'd do for LSU, but I have a feeling Miles is at fault for that moreso than Cam.

Why didn't Harris get more PT last season? It looks like he has a great arm and can be a difference maker in that offense, yet he only got limited PT.

His first year here his offense set SEC records. His 2nd year here he lost a QB, RB and 2 WRs to the NFL. All of which were starters in their rookie season at some point.

2 reasons: First, he thought he would walk in and take over the starting spot without putting in any effort. Second, and this was the big one, he got in the huddle @ Auburn and started calling plays using the lingo he used in high school. It was at that point the staff and players knew he wasn't ready.

Harris wasn't doing what he needed off the field and he said as much.

Well, looks like youth won't be a problem this year - there will be experience at every position.

Mercy - I hadn't heard this.

Thanks for the clarification.

"The magic is to be unpredictable but also simple enough so your guys can execute things." - Cameron.

Bingo.

That's what makes Malzhan's offense so good. So simple, yet so hard to make the right "guess" at where the play is headed.

I think Cam addresses this here. Of course, he refers to both QBs in order to not single out Harris, but it seems like this played a big role in Harris not playing much.

"But I've watched Anthony and Brandon in their morning workouts these past few weeks. I know what they're doing in the classroom, and they've made a change in the classroom, gone to being really good off-the-field. In the weight room, (football strength and conditioning coach) Tommy Moffitt is raving about their effort, their leadership and their communication."

It's Cameron's fault, and he's admitted that.

It's been a long time since he's worked with teenagers. The last college QB he had to develop was Antwaan Randle El. Since then, he's coached Mett, Brees, Rivers, and Flacco.

This is certainly a make it or break it year for him.

It also helped that our players knew what plays yall where running from film study. Spaight said in one of his interviews that for the most part they knew what play yall where running the majority of the time from all the tells your offense was putting out fwiw.

Look at the bottom of the page of your link......there's a link to a radio interview with Matt Millen talking about throwing jemarcus out of his office on Detroit.

Pretty good listen

Yeah the neverending "run-run-pass" sequences killed me.

He did appear to change it up a lot the last two games with good results...granted against some shitty defenses.
