Do we have any scary movie fans? Me and my old HS buddies used to always joke around about what we would do if we were in a scary move. Like Texas Chainsaw Massacre or Wrong Turn or Jeepers Creepers or your typical out in the open wilderness type movie. Anyways, Ill start off a scenario:

What would you do if you broke down in a small texas town and you heard a chainsaw crank up in the woods and saw a huge guy with another human face on, in the woods? Your car is completely dead

First off, who are you?

As for what I'd do, probably just wait to die, I guess. I'm black--it shouldn't take very long

Doubt some fat old arse with a 10-20 lbs chainsaw could out run me

Ive read the site for a long time. Decided to go ahead and make an account since I always am itching to give my 2 cents on something, just never took the time to go through with it.

Personally, I would catch him off guard and pick up something whether it be a rock or a crow bar and start marching at him and bust his arse. Think about it. Number 1, hes going to be like what in the hell is this guy doing. Number 2, if you run, he knows the land better than you and has help coming im sure. Im playing offense

Bold strategy.

Idk about the viability of it, though, cuz you'd have to assume he knows wtf he's doing with his weapon of choice and has probably had someone fighting for their life against him before. You'd better be damn sure of your element of surprise and make it count, otherwise your arse is grass.

As for me, I'd want to know two things:

Is it day or night? If it's nighttime, I'm hiding like a mug and my skin is a natural camo

Secondly, where in Texas is it? I'm a Texan, so depending on the small texas town, I might know the terrain reasonably well enough to make a break for it.

Thanks for the welcome.

As far as bold goes, yes. However, if I can get that chainsaw away from him, I like my chances in a fight. Im 6'4" 248 and I did some boxing and bare knuckle boxing as a youngster. Not saying I would kill him or even take him down, but he more than likely isnt going to put me down either.

Lets say it is dusk. 10 minutes from dark. Its in Kingsland, Texas.

Ah, you have some helpful attributes, then

I'm about 5 inches shorter and built like a linebacker. Think I'd be at a disadvantage from a reach standpoint, which would render any strength advantage I might have negligible without the element of extreme surprise.

Ah, that's home turf for me, then. I know Cen-Tex pretty well. I'd try to get to the banks of the Colorado River and lay low till I got near a road, then hitchhike or walk to Hwy 281. I got people in Marble Falls

Solid strategy. If I knew the area well that would be nice. Key to everything is if you are alone. If I have my wife with me, then the strategy changes. If I have my brother or a buddy with me, then we kill the motherfricker.

Have you heard the real story behind the Texas Cahinsaw Massacre? Town name, actual name of the killer, family?

Agreed. My wife is a little 5 foot 2 inch white girl. If she's with me, it's all about scuttling her to safety.

I have four younger brothers, and the one closest to me in age is about 6'4", and about 260 lbs. If it's he and I, we're dropping the fricker between the two of us.

Yeah, I just never really got into it, for some reason. Maybe because it hit a little too close to home? Also I didn't really start getting into horror/slasher type cinema till during/after college, so my portfolio is limited

I'd hide until nightfall and then just meld into one of the hordes of "undocumented immigrants" crossing the state. Safety in numbers, you know.

I pull my 45 out from my waistband and double tap his heart. Problem solved.

Have you factored in the retard strength? Jason Voorhees and Michael Meyers have that superhuman retard strength. Going toe to toe may be a really bad idea.

I wouldn't do anything unless he came at me with it.

Then I'd pull out my Kimber .45 and put one (at least) in his chest.

Finally, I'd wonder why he brought a chainsaw to a gun fight.

End of movie. Roll credits.

Find a stick and sharpen it to a point or pick up my cell phone and call for help

I would not be an idiot, unlike most people in those movies.

In teh situation you described, I'd just take off running. Sounds dumb, but I'm faster than an overweight old loser carrying running machinery. I'd eventually run into a useful situation, be it a neighborhood, store, civilian, car, etc.

You should watch "Behind the Mask: the Rise of Leslie Vernon".

Do you have any idea how much cardio those horror movie killers do? It's incredible
