You skipped over the part where Alexander Tureaud enrolled at LSU in 1953.

Watch your whore mouth. Houston is awesome, aside from the traffic.

I've lived/visited extensively a number of areas and I'd live in Laffy or New Orleans over Houston any day of the week. Houston is awful.
Maybe New Orleans if I was rich, but I'd rather live in the Woodlands over any area in Louisiana. Midtown Houston honestly isn't that terrible now that it's just becoming generic 20 something paradise, I just hate the weather. But I'd choose 20 areas in Dallas/Austin over anywhere in Louisiana.

Its pretty ugly too Wade. It is probably my favorite city in Texas, but it is ugly.
And the traffic problem is huge.

A.P. Tureaud, Jr., LSU's first black undergraduate student, was admitted under court order to the 3-2 undergraduate pre-law and law degree program, which was unique to LSU. He transfers before the end of the fall term.
Thank you, wadewilson.
I certainly stand corrected.
That means LSU enrolled an undergraduate black student the year before Texas A&M did.
I wouldn't categorize that as LSU integrating years before Texas A&M.
Again, neither school was a trailblazer with regard to racial integration.
But I'd say both have made huge strides.

I have lived in both places and I would also rather live in Lafayette by a mile.

I bet you would, most do not.

It is an ugly skyline, sure, but I don't really care about that.
The traffic is unforgivable, but if you're flexible on where you live and work, you can mitigate some of the daily struggle.
I guess my POV is a bit colored by the fact that I'm usually in Houston to see friends and piss around. If I had to drive in from Spring every day I'd go crazy. I've got a 30 minute commute in BR and I bitch about that.

I've lived in Lafayette. I'll stop through to pick up some boudin or some such, but I wouldn't live there again.

I have lived in fun cities like Miami, Austin, and New Orleans.
But the older I get the closer I want to be to family.
Now, back to trolling A&M

There's something special about people from Lafayette.
