I'm originally from Southern California so I can some what relate, but I don't think I've ever heard about the weather changing that fast.

Great picture btw. I didn't think that Texas got snow

It's not a regular thing for most of the state. Lubbock and Amarillo can guarantee getting a few times a year but most of us get it fairly infrequently. North of Austin is the line of demarcation for snow most times.

Nope. Fireplace ftw. Brought a couple days worth of wood inside yesterday. And charged phone and tablet right before power went out as well as having oil lamps. Im good to go.
