We are getting one of these in Fayetteville in a couple of weeks. I shop at Ozark Natural Foods often and I like my nitrite-free bacon, etc. How does Natural Grocers compare to Whole Foods?

(Whole Foods is opening in Fayettevile this summer, too.)

For real? Like prepared foods, etc? I was thinking it would be more like Aldi meets Vitamin Shoppe.

Add in cheap wine and you've got Trader Joes.

Oscar Mayer just put a different label on the bacon that day. You're still eating the same shite we are, just at a higher price.

What you need is a Lucky's Market. They put one in Columbia, and it's basically Trader Joe's with a lot better fresh veggie/fruit selection (by far the best in town, both in quality and price) and they also have $2 microbrew pints you can drink while you shop.

We have a Natural Grocers in town, but it's not extremely popular and I've never been in. It is my understanding it was less like a full-service grocery store and more ultra-specialty store. We have a couple of stores in Columbia called Clover's and I think they more resemble them than a standard grocery store.

Lucky's Market sounds great. I doubt we get one anytime soon. We'll have 3 organic groceries in a town of <80k this summer. Getting all Bouldery up in here.

Also this Natural Grocers has stores in locales like Amarillo, Midland and Wichita Falls. I'm no expert but those aren't exactly hotbeds for organic good enthusiasts

I've never been in one before.

There are internet rumors of Trader Joe's heading out way, but with Whole Foods, Fresh Market and the local co-ops, plus this place, I don't think we're big enough for all of them at once.
